Please provide scriptural proof, if you can. My husband and I sometimes think our old house is haunted or inhabited by some kind of spirit entity.

I know there are many Biblical examples of people being inhabited and controlled by demons, but what about places?

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

Why are we casting pearls before swine on this forum?

He sent Jesus to preach a gospel of love but why didn't God in the beginning just tell his people to love one another and there would have been no need for Jesus? Seems to me that God really didn't know what he was at, maybe still doesn't

I was bought up believing God was God and Jesus was the son of God and there is only one God. I am now a muslim revert and belive much the same thing, except Jesus was a man and was a Prophet as was Mohammed (peace be upon him) - I even believe in the second coming (except Jesus will return as a Muslim). When did Christianity get confused and start saying Jesus IS God, it makes no sence and that was never taught to me as a Christian, is it a new thing?

Is it because we have an ancient moral standard, that doesn't get re-invented whenever it would be emotionally or financially convienent to do so? Why does that indicate a lack of rational thought? Do you re-invent standards of physical measurement to fit your agenda at will? New rulers, new ways to measure pounds/kilos, new measuring cups? Does the existence of THESE standards indicate a lack of imaginitive thought or rationality? If not, then why accuse theists of "non-thinking" for accepting standards for interpersonal behaviour? Please explain!

I am catholic and have always believed in God. I attended church once a week till I was out of High School. I don't go to church every sunday now but I felt as long as I believe it would be ok to miss mass. But recently I'm starting to question my faith. It seems like no matter how much I pray to God to make me a stronger person or to help me in my time of need, He takes more away from me. Its like He ignores me. I try to keep my head up and think that He has a plan, but I'm starting to have my doubts. Is his plan to make me depressed? I don't want to lose my faith, but I feel I am. I need advice. Please.

In the bible it just says he was not in the tomb, and even today people believe they see loved ones who are dead long after they have been buried, the mind just doesn't want to let them go, so could it be that Jesus' body was just stolen from his tomb?

doesn't treat herself very welll emotionally and is a born again Christian. I would like to be able to show her some Bible verses
that show that that is part of being a good Christian also. She knows that her body is a temple and treats it that way, but she doesn't take care of her emotional self very well. I told her that God wants her to love herself but she was doubtful. She would only believe it if I can show her from the Bible.
Thank you very much.

1)the bible and thus quote directly from it , even though it was written by men so is riddled with lies

2) if adam and eve were the first and only humans then their children must have resorted to incest in order to increase population sizes to what they are today, and must have enjoyed it since there are so many of them now.

3) why believe the bible how could noah fit so many animals from so many diffrent environments on to his boat

Please answer the following questions:
1) How can you have free will if God already knows what you will do?

2) If you are good you go to heaven when you die. Why are most believers afraid of death or why do they suffer when someone good dies?

3) If Seth was the third child of Adam and Eve, and Cain married bbefore Seth was born; then who did Cain marry?

4) If Adam and Eve were the first people on earth, then how did we get all the other races?

5) Why has God or Jesus never healed an amputee?

It boggles my mind that an otherwise fairly intelligent person can have no faith in a well studied and proven scientific theory, i.e. evolution, but then have faith in a supernatual being that controls all things in the universe, sun, earth, life, death, with his mind. How can this happen? Shouldn't people who live their lives solely on the basis of faith, allow some of that faith to be carried over to well respected scientific beliefs?

Isn't it hypocritical for people of faith who deny evolution to completely change their minds about the authenticity of scientific facts when it comes to medical science? "Sure I'll take this medicine that was provided by scientific research because it will save my life, but I reject other scientific research when it is inconvenient to my religion!"
