He sent Jesus to preach a gospel of love but why didn't God in the beginning just tell his people to love one another and there would have been no need for Jesus? Seems to me that God really didn't know what he was at, maybe still doesn't

Think about the concept of him being outside of time.

The need for Jesus came about because MAN got it "wrong". They disobeyed God and fell from a relationship with Him. So God needed a way to atone for man sins, which God immediately prophesies after the fall.

BTW, He knew all this would happen. Before the "foundation of the world" God knew that He would come as a man, Jesus Christ, as a perfect sacrifice for sin being nailed to a cross by the very men He created.

Cool!

God DID tell us to love everyone from the beginning (the ten commandments anyone?) but people ignored that. So God sent Jesus to bridge the gap as the ultimate means to get his point across. If we don't choose this one, there aren't any more messagers coming for us.

If you would have read the bible before displaying your ignorance, you wouldn't have had to asked this question.

The ten commandments reflect the same teaching as that of Jesus' .

Jesus was sent, volunteered to come here, because it was God's plan from before the foundation of the world.

Not really worth answering but here goes.

Short sweet:

Jesus = God

God = Jesus

Jesus isn't just some messenger (although the backwards faith would have you believe it), he is part of the holy trilogy.

Go educate yourself then you can come back to the grown ups table.

God did tell people, they didn't listen. Just like so many don't listen today. Jesus loves you.

Couldn't agree more. I think God lost the plot a long time ago. I hope he finds it again soon, cos if not we're all f*cked.
