Nobody knows how God addresses mental illness and suicide is definitly a result "stinking thinking". In God, there is a tool for renewing you mind on a daily basis. I guess if He put that into the program then He must have known that people could overload if they carried yesterdays into tomorrows. Jesus taugh that you should only concern yourself with the day you are in because each day has enough of it's own stuff to deal with.
My suggestion is to find a good Christ centered councilor and talk to them about the "Renewing of the Mind". It is a simple process to start each day brand new. It can be tightened to moment to moment depending on how far you have wandered from the now.
It would be damnation for sure if you left your body because of something from your past, and then did not have anyway at all to correct it. On top of that. "Thou shalt not kill". that would be another sin to deal with. Being clear from sin is the important thing and perhaps that is the reason for the abstract thinking in the first place. My friend, Jesus ALREADY forgave you for your sins. It is just a matter of believing that and letting Him put your opast into forgetfull seas.

The bible does not say.
I'd have to totally guess and say it depends. Are they saved? Do they have the blood of Jesus christ covering their sins? What was the reason? Was it because they are in so much physical pain they can't take it anymore? Are they mad at someone? Are they clinically depressed? Do they have a brain tumor that makes them nuts? God knows the circumstance, he knows the heart.
God is judge.

That's a common question. Some people believe it is the unpardonable sin; it isn't. Not accepting Christ is the unpardonable sin. Although it is wrong to kill yourself, because you don't have the right. Life is in God's hands only.

This is something that has always bothered me. I was taught they go to hell, and I must believe most do. I think there may be an exception for someone who is mentally ill and doesn't know what he is doing.
