Most Christians down any belief but their own. Being Wiccan or Pagan isn't evil. They want you to believe it is evil so you will step over to their way of thinking!

No news here. Many (not all) Christians are "down" on Wicca because the Bible (their holy text) tells them that witchcraft is of Satan. They believe that their religion is the only path to divinity. I agree that they should be more tolerant, but then, try telling that to some of the other pagans on Yahoo! Answers. Or the Muslims... Or the atheists...
And for the record, the Bible says nothing about embracing other religions. Just the opposite, in fact. It states that the only way to Heaven is through Jesus.

Christianity as laid down by Paul/Saul was not for getting along with other faiths, it was exclusionary.
Since the OT, which was based loosely on the Torah, has been translated, re-translated and edited to fit the theme of what ever ruler was in power, it is no wonder it is so full of hate and intolerance and yes seeming contradictions.
"Thou shalt not murder" became "Thou shalt not kill", unless they are people we say God doesn't like"
Mind you there are Christians who do live by the words of Jesus only, they are some of the most understanding, kind, loving, and intelligent people I know.
Paulist on the other hand are so very like the man who first put the spin in Christianity, changing it from a sect of Judaism to a religion all its own.

Fear of the unknown. And they don't want to know about it either. I guess it makes them feel more secure in their own religion by pointing out how "Evil" they view other people's religions. That doesn't come across as being very strong in one's faith, to me anyway. Normally I just ignore the one's that say "it's evil" and only reply to the one's who are giving out misinformation about the religion itself
Pagan Reconstructionist.

I'm Christian and have never once thought that Wiccans were evil. The Wiccan religion is a beautiful blend of nature and harmony.

As a Christian i do feel a need to give you a bible but that's not the question. We Christians are supposed to embrace others and not mock others religion.many just don't understand and(as cleashay as this sounds) are scared. So I apologize for the way Christians treated you. I myself have friends that are wiccan, Buddhist and one believes in the Egyptian gods...yeah. any way i apologize the Christians treated you and (though you may hate me for saying this...)god bless you to enlightenment.

I use to be Wiccan and I know the power I was using was Satans, but Wiccan keep claiming the power comes from nature. Both Christians and Wiccans know that if you curse someone, and they are not worthy of that curse it wil come back to you as well as if you bless someone. Its a spiritual law. Christians contridict themselves all the time. They hate witchcraft and then read Harry Potter and think all the witchcraft in that book is OK. Wiccans know that any spell that s made uo will work, SO ANY SPELL IN HARRY POTTER WILL WORK, IF SAID OUTLOUD!!! This that profess to be Wicca/Christan are just contridicting themselves.

OK so you are a Wiccan. That's fine. Why do you care what we Christians think? GOD loves you and has a plan for your life. Christians are sinners saved by grace. Many of us have a long way to go before we become Christ like. We are headed that way though.
May GOD richly bless you.

LOL!
You put down Christianity, but expect to be embraced by Christians??? First of all, maybe you should learn what we believe befor you tell us what we believe. We need not embrace your religion. We DO not embrace it. We only wish to rescue you from it.
And Wicca contradicts itself more.

Do as I have--learn to ignore their evil sayings. It's hard at first, but it will save you a lot of grief.
Blessed be.
