when even Jesus forbids it...........

Jesus said prayer should be a private affair devoid of public display: "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room (or closet.) and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret...

If yes, then can you be a thief and a christian?
an adulterer and a christian?
what about being a serial killer and a christian?

Is a Christian once saved always saved even if they continue in behavior they know is wrong?

Could 666 be DCLXVI?
Standing for:
Domitanus Caeser Legatos Xti Violenter Interfecit.
Translated from the Latin:

Domition Caeser is violently killing the envoys of Christ?
Making it a contempory warning of dangers to the early Christains and not a prophesy as is commonly believed today?

and not just God himself? Do we need to be saved if we just come to the conclusion that we are not perfect and just strive to want to be better? Did Christ die for me, because I don't remember asking him to do that? its nice that he did, but he did'nt have to

Okay, I get that the original sin was Eve eating the apple, and then Adam followed suit. I get that this was a sin against God. However, I have trouble with the idea that we are all guilty of this as well. How is their sin genetic?

For instance, if one's father commits murder...that is a crime against God too, as it is against a commandment. However, the child of that father is not considered guilty of it.

Could someone explain to me how I am guilty of eating the apple if "my ancestor" did it, not me?

(Not trying to be offensive. I just don't get it.)

Let's face it, the bible has some disturbing images in it, some cruel forms of punishment for nothing more than being human. Could a moral person, not just a moral person on the outside, because many people deceive those and live two lives, but could a moral person really accept a God who operates in such a way as the Christian God does? Sending those who choose the wrong religion to hell, while planting as much scientific and historic evidence to disprove any religion fully. What if your "God" sent the Bible as a test to see who could truly accept these cruel structures? Or what if it was from the devil, as is easily seen, the book does not present itself in a very lightly divine mannor.
