How would I go about finding a Wiccan Coven in my area? Any input??? Smart *** remarks and God pushing idots will be reported...Thank you!

You already have received some good answers. The only other thing I can think of is to go to Yahoo groups and use the keywords Wicca and your state to see if there are any local Yahoo groups. Many larger cities have Yahoo groups. I'd also like to suggest the book,"Covencraft" by Amber K. This book really has a lot of good information in it and is well worth the investment. If interested, you could go to Amazon to check out some of the reviews about it.

You could also try http://pagan.meetup.com/ and type in your zip code. You may not find a coven right away, but you will meet area Wiccans and that's at least a step in the right direction as contacts are what you need in order to find a coven anyway.

Your local esoteric store probably has connections to the local covens. Witches Voice is another good place to contact local groups. Yahoo groups also - look for your local area pagan/witches group.
Covens tend to be close knit groups, and finding one may be a bit tricky. More often than not, attending local "meet and greets" in your community will allow you to get to know them, and them get to know you.
Do not be so quick to jump into a coven till you know what they are about. Also give them the chance to scope you out.

Have you tried the phone book under occult stores. If you can find one of those, they could direct you to a wiccan teacher.

Try www.witchvox.com, and search your area for public circles. Go to the public circle, and put out some feelers. You have to go to them, they won't come to you. And you have to put forth the effort, and make the first move to show that you are serious. They don't take this kind of thing lightly.
