The Holy Spirit is third person of the Godhead. He is completely God. He is called God (Acts 5:3-4), has a will (1 Cor. 12:11), speaks (Acts 8:29; 13:2), and knows all things (John 14:17). He is not an "active force" as the Jehovah's Witnesses mistakenly teach. The Holy Spirit is alive and is fully and completely God. He is called the Spirit of God (Gen. 1:2), Holy Spirit (Psalm 51:1), the Helper (John 14:16,26), and Eternal Spirit (Heb. 9:14). He knows all things (1 Cor. 2:10-11), is all powerful (Luke 1:35), and is everywhere (Psalm 139:7-13).

The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Blessed Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). 3 people yet 1 God.
To help me understand the mystery...the Spirit is the very breath of God the Father in us that sustains our soul. God the Son is the living Word - physically manifested through Christ Jesus. God the Father is the eternal I AM.

The Holy Spirit is the love between the Father and the Son. He is so real and substantial he is a being all to himself. This is why John says God is Love.

The Holy Spirit or Ghost, is the Spirit of God on the earth, and basically either in us or can enter us at any time, usually it's when you act as Jesus, your heart is in the righteous mood or frame at the time in serving others.

jesus said when he left this earth he told his deciples where i go you can not come but i will send you the holy spirit he will be your comforter ,counselor,teacher ,he will,lead you in to all truths thats the holy spirit i have .....the spirit of the most high god
