Sin and Death, How come we still die? If that were the case a true beleiver would be physically immortal. Is it not possible this was all mistranslated and fabricated at the council of Nycium, and all beleive a lie?

See I was always taught ( I'm smart and listened in bible study) that Adam and Eve were immortal and the garden would have been eternal had they not sinned and that the orriginal sin brought death into the world. So I was thinking that Since it literally says that he conquered death then I figure there should be some very old beleivers walking around. I mean why would we still die if he Paid the Whole Price?????

You're so cute! You say that as if most Christians have any clue about how their bible came to be :)

Born again blood bought Christians do not taste of the second death (after the physical death) therefore we do not fear it. Jesus is still the power that resurrected and will again resurrect all souls on judgment day. We inherit eternal life with Christ as joint-heirs with Him and all sorts of wonderful things that no matter how our hearts imagine, we cannot possibly dream how beautiful heaven must be. It's not a mistranslation. God doesn't lie. The original manuscripts found prove that the King James has been properly translated. Satan has always been working hard and fast to confuse, invalidate and nullify the Word of God but it has been preserved for thousands of years and is forever settled in heaven.

Read Romans 8. We are delivered from the Law of Sin And Death.
We now operated under the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.
Spiritually we have been made alive to God. Physically people still die, but the believer is immediately in the presense of God.

Your body is not who you are. You are body, soul and spirit.

The first sin you commit causes you to be dead spiritually, and you must be of an age to know what sin is to be able to commit one. God knows when that is.

When one is born again (reborn spiritually) he has passed from death to life, and he can never die again, spiritually. But his body is not immortal until his mortal body is raised immortal and perfect at the resurrection.

But if he dies, having not been born again, he will go to a second death in the lake of fire. He did not receive the gift of eternal life so he must pay the wages of sin, which is death. That death is eternal. He will never live again.

So, yes, Jesus did pay our sin debt, and we are a new creature spiritually speaking at the moment we accept him, but our bodies are not yet immortal, as everything in this physical world must be changed.

So our body dies, but we do not, if we are born again. In fact we have already passed from drath to life.

when Jesus speaks of death through sin he does not mean physical death. He speaks of eternal death. We all have to die physical but we gain eternal life in a spiritual body through Christ. In the gospel you can read about the resurrected Christ and his changed body. His disciples could still recognize him even he had changed.

First, as Christians we possess eternal life (1 John 5:13), yet we are not in heaven or in the immediate presence of God. Though we are still in mortal bodies and we still sin, by faith we are saved (Rom. 4:5; Eph. 2:8-9) and possess eternal life as a free gift from God (Rom. 6:23). Second, eternal life will reach its final state at the resurrection of the believers when Christ returns to earth to claim His church. It is then that eternal life will begin in its complete manifestation. We will no longer sin.

Jesus Christ conquered sin and death. A true believer is spiritually immortal; later, their spirit will be united with an incorruptible, glorious body. They will be resurrected body and soul. The physical, fleshy body, of course, dies. It is made of dust and to dust it will return. Our flesh bodies are corrupted, hence, we obtain an incorruptible, glorious body which is united with our spirit. Don't confuse this physical flesh body we have now to the body we are to receive.

The believer is made spiritually alive, but physical death continues until the restoration of all things after Christ's return. But the unbeliever remains dead both spiritually and physically. Are you referring to the council of Nicea??

the death spoken of by Christ is the second death, the eternal separation from God that happenes to the unbelieving on judgement day. death in the bible always implies separation. first death is separation from our bodies and second is separation from God...in hell. Jesus conquered the second death.

If you knew all the answers concerning religion, why would anyone need faith?

I think that you confuse spiritual and physical death. Jesus died too, remember? Christians believe that their soul will live forever.

The true you is not a physical body but a spirit being that lives in a body. Your spirit (the true you) will live for eternity with Christ Jesus.
