I say atheism, because theists tend to take a "well, this life is just passing through" attitude. I think that gives them license to not only discard value in this life, but also take other lives. It's one thing to just advance someone's journey to hell/heaven, it's quite another to take the only life they'll get.

On the same token, I think atheism makes us more contemplative and thankful for the life we have. Because know that it's all we'll get. And after that, we won't notice that we're dead so we'll be okay. We'll live on in the form of our children and those who knew us. As Mark Twain said, "I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it."

What do you think?

The one who said F-God and Jesus and much more. I know we are all entitled to our own opinion but I don't understand why so abusively and others with their really ugly and snide remarks. We're "supposed" to be on this site to be helpful to others, not bash people.

Who prayed for him? Who reported him?

Why's he still here? Yahoo take the weekend off? Hello Yahooooooooo!

Believers, Jews, Sabaeans and Christians -
whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does what is right -
shall have nothing to fear or regret.
-- Sura 5:69

or

Unbelievers are those that say:
"God is the Messiah, the son of Mary." For the Messiah himself said:
"Children of Israel, serve God, my Lord and your Lord."
He that worships other gods besides God, God will deny him Paradise,
and the fire shall be his home. None shall help the evil-doers.
-- Sura 5:72

Honestly I have to laugh and shake my head at some of the crazy stuff said in this section. You have to feel sorry for someone who feels the need to come on Yahoo! answers to be disruptive and ugly.

Science say it is much longer maybe millions of years , Carbon isotopes say also that history of man is much longer , even the bible does not refuse this , because the bible does not say that Adam and Eve is the only human creation.
but what about STATISTICS world population is now 7 billions , in the year 1000 they were 1 billion , at the time of Christ 200 Millions anyway if you extend and interpolate the trend of population multiplying once every 30 years you find that it begins really since 6000 or 8000 years.
Which one should we believe : SCIENCE or STATISTICS???
SCIENCE = millions of years
STATISTICS = 6000 years
????

I think it's funny how they can look at indigionous religion and creation myths as stupid and ridiculous, yet somehow giving praise to the invisible man living up in the sky is perfectly sane.

Can someone please explain this?

IMO:

I used to to believe that after people die they just cease to exist. no after life no nothing. just like that.

but now I want to believe that souls can have a choice to stay on the earth as wandering ghosts and spirits.
I don't want to stop existing after I die, god forbid, you know?
Anyway, what do you guys think?

Revelation 1:7.Those who pierced Jesus will see Him coming back...
The fight for world control then and now : the Romans led by their emperor where trying to rule the world,forcing it to adopt and to practice the democratic constitution inherited from the Greeks.The Church led by Jesus-Christ used the Gospel to make the world a better place to live before heaven.The Romans force the nations to adopt their lifestyle of war,plunder and exploitation while the Christians use the gentle power of the Holy Spirit to convince people to adopt a righteous life.The Westerners under Roman's influence had two Choices:to abandon the wicked way of the romans and to reflect the image of God by practicing the Gospel.But the people and theirs leaders chose to twist the Gospel in order to rob powerless nations using the Church as a cornerstone for capitalism.The Roman empire rebuilt in a spiritual form using the Church as its stepping stone will be called the USA: the people who sit in God's throne.

I was brought up into a Catholic Christian family but i'm starting to doubt it a lot myself and I always have, i've never felt the same way about my religion like everyone else has, a lot of Christian people believe that their way is the ONLY way and if you don't believe it you've made the wrong choice. I figure, who am i to say what really happened?

My dog spoke to me tonight in plain English and said that God had sent a message to the world. This really happened but I do not know who to report it to, is there a central clearing house to call? Should I call the Catholic church, a Synagogue, or a Mosque? Or is this an animal health issue that will require the assistance of my Veterinarian. I know this sounds weird, but no weirder than our saviour coming back to life after death and turning water into wine.
