Jesus actually was visible. He lived in the Middle East for 33 years.

The problem is not that they think their way is the only way. The problem comes when they believe that their way is the best way for everyone. They have a very difficult time saying, "This is how we understand and interpret the Bible, how we choose to worship God. We know that it is right for us." What they do say is,"This is how everyone should understand and interpret the Bible, this is how everyone should worship God. This is the way that is right for everybody". The problems arise when they try to push their views off onto others. Fundamentalists in other religions do the same thing. Truly radical fundamentalists have been willing to wage Holy War or conduct Crusades against people with different beliefs.

Uh, yea I'm pretty sure he's referring to "god" not "Jesus". Anyway, the fact is that if you teach anyone anything from birth, they'll believe it. It's pretty much a form of brainwashing. Think of it this way, If i had told you the they sky was "red" for all of your life, and never let anyone tell you differently you would always refer to anything that was really blue as "red". People would tell you that you were wrong, but you'd still believe it. Hope that helps in a small way, the explanation was a little confusing...

Excuse me,but ALL people of ideology think their way is the only way.
Any group is susceptible to self-inclusiveness.
Why do you think ATHEISTS refuse to form church-type groups.
They don't because anytime you get a bunch of people together in a group;everybody follows the group.
You tend to lose your individuality.
It doesn't matter what kind of group it is.
I am only formulating a theory based on observations.
I could be wrong.
God Bless

First of all, from your statements, it appears that you do not understand what we believe in.
God is not an "invisible man living up in the sky". Before you can state that belief in God is not sane, you must first understand that god that you believe or don't believe in. Otherwise you end up with a conversation analogous to:
Believer: I believe in apples
Unbeliever: I don't believe in oranges.
If you believe in God and His teachings, then you believe in it all. The Bible tells you there is one way -- God's way.
If you are interested in really learn about the God we believe in and you don't believe in, so that we are on the same page, I would recommend to you a short video: "The nature of God -- What is God?" It is available at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4056334820353857879&hl=en .
The video actually starts off by explaining that God is not an "old man in the sky", even though that is what the speaker originally thought himself (he was once an atheist himself). I believe you will find it interesting.

Don't Atheists believe they are the only one that is right too? All religions are exclusive. The important thing is that no one compels another to believe by use of force.

It is rather wrong to think any religion is the only true faith. Each believes his doctrine ,his story is right and everybody elses is wrong.Live and let live.dont push your faith on anyone and will get along just fine.People seem to feel there special over everybody else and there not. we are all equal in Gods eyes and mine too.

A lot of people think their way is the only way be they religious, agnostic or atheist. I think it is important to respect people regardless of what they believe.
