Why can't we just accepet different realgions and just leave it alone!? I mean really....has'ent any one heard the exsprecion "to each is his own?" So...why do you think there is so much hate?

Yes, adults can sometimes be the worst because people often become close-minded and set in their ways as they age. Sad that so many of them are racist, homophobic, and judge people based on their religion or lack thereof. If you are 13 and you think this is ridiculous, then I commend you - you are on the right track in life.

I really think that there isn't that much hate. Of course there is people that really hate others for what they believe or dis-believe, but for the most part I think thats it may be more frustration. You have some that believe in everything and others that believe in nothing, and everybody is trying there best to convince the other that they are right/wrong. Some one may ask a hateful question, but I'd like to believe that they are just trying to get some attention. We answer those questions because it's about points then. For the most part people here are very helpful and nice and like to have fun.

Yes, I've noticed, and that's why I love this category. It's so entertaining. You get all sorts of religious fanatics on here, and everything in between. There's also the GLBT and race sections on here. It's more entertaining than even the political section.

Sorry, just read the extra part of your question. People hate because they are bigots and they do not want to open their mind enough to accept something new, they are afraid they might change. You'll find that many people are afraid of change.

To be fair, my child, (which is of course not literal), note all of the "hate" is really hate persay, but rather accusations of incompetency. The assertion that the other person is somehow being irrational, and presenting this assertion in a sarcastic and comical effect designed to make others question their own beliefs. However, this tends to merely inspire aggression, rather than contemplation, because most people aren't agnostic like me =D

You have a good way of thinking. Too many people are drawn into the hate thing, but most of them are in the fundie category, who only use religion to try and justify their hatred and intolerence. Everyone should be free to follow whichever religion they choose, so long as they don't use it as an excuse to harm others.

I like your statement.

Keep in mind there is only one God and only one way to Heaven. That is to repent and ask Jesus Christ into your heart.

Religion breeds the "I'm right, you're wrong" mentality. It's hard to argue when someone solemnly believes "God told me so" and someone else holds a differing view for the same reason.

Amen.

The hate you see is actually people who hate themselves. But instead of getting better, they vent their hatred outward and remain sick.

Most people are subconsciously angry at God for sending them to this world of pain, they don't understand that we are here to feel it and bring it back to a place that doesn't have it. With this new found pain, we can use it to feel even more pleasure in Heaven.
