The problem is probably more cultural than theological.

But isn't there also a notion that Christians almost believe the right things, but didn't see it through to be a Muslim. It's very similar to how anti-semitism is fueled by the belief by Christians belief that Jews are the chosen people, but don't see it through to accept the Son of God.

No we aren't.
Not close in faith-not Brothers in faith.
Jews only messianc jews not orthodox--

Abraham is seed of all God children not just a few.
You never read Gal 3:29
3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

But Islam and Christianity aren't same faith--
Never has been. Never will be.

I follow Jesus--You don't.

Having the same father does not constitute brotherhood when it comes to faith. For only those who believe in God the Father and His Christ who are born of the Spirit are brothers. See the story of Jacob and Esau. Also the Word of God states that any who do not listen to that Propeht will be cut off from the people of Israel, that Prophet is Christ.

They don't view Jesus as the messiah and savior of the world.
Jesus himself taught that he was the unique Son of God. John 10:36; Matthew 16:15-17 the fortold messiah. that he had a prehuman existance in heaven. that he would be put to death and then would be raised to life on the third day and there after return to heaven. Were these claims true? Was he different from all the other prophets of God? Did God actually resurrect him from the dead? Acts 1 st chaper tells how he was resurrected and shown himself for 40 days to the people.
They all knew he was resurrected and saw him ascent to heaven. None of the other prophets did that. Romans 1:3,4 over 500 witnesses actually saw Jesus alive following his resurrection.
He said, I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through me. So unless you accept Jesus as the messiah you can not be saved.

Christianity went thru our hate thing, the crusades and the inquisition, but the muslims were a bit slow to catch up. Now that christianity and judaism are basically non-violent, at least for religious reasons, the muslims are doing the middle ages terrorism thing. Maybe if they'd get with the times, and learn to stop killing people, we'd all get along just fine.

Scriptureman says:

Mat 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Amo 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

I'm sorry but I don't agree. The bible does not call those who don't place their faith alone in Christ, "brothers" or "sisters". It would be nice if we could all get along and agree to disagree. But I cannot call a muslim a brother or sister because we do not worship the same God. If you look at the qualities and traits of allah and line them up next to the God of the bible, the difference would be clear. Just because we are both monotheistic does not mean we both believe in the God of the bible.

We have the same father, Abraham, but not the same faith. There is no way that the God of the Bible is the same as Allah.

muslims , despite their claims,. do not have the same god (allah)as the christians and jews (jehovah) . anyone who worships jehovah is an infidel and will be killed.

islam has no connection with christianity or judaism. islam was birthed by a pagan named mohammed, it was not birthed by abraham. islam denies the bible, central to the truth of jehovah.
