I would like to be a militairy chaplin but i dont know how it would work. Do you know how a catholic would go through seminary and boot camp? Would one go before the other? What religion do I belong to? Say my father is a christian and mother is muslim what do I belong to? It is very obvious religion doesn't exist but that doesn't mean god doesn't exist. If I'm a true christian I wouldn't hate a muslim or have resentment on them. Jesus or Buddha never wanted to create a religion. All their teachings were valuable. Why don't we take the good teachings from religion and make use of it than being mind identified "proud" for one religion. Back to my question, if someone really wanted to know what my religion is I would say, "Muslianity". Or should I?

I am slowly day by day losing faith , I grew up in the Catholic church and have always been a somewhat religous person , I do attend on a regular basis , but I am slowly losing faith because of all the horrible things that are going on in the world today , all the violence in the middle east all the pain and suffering that human biengs are enduring in other countries like Africa , The Middle East , India just all over the world , the tragedy of 9/11 just everything !!!!! its so depressing all the horrible events that are taking place in our wonderful world today , how could a kind and loving God let these things take place I just dont understand anymore , what do you think ?

Yes, Christians as much as it pains you, humans and apes share a common ancestor...and before someone asks for the millionth time " If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?" please re-read my first sentence and figure it out.
Now, I think we can reconcile the idea that there might someone (or something) behind beings, humans and not, evolving and becoming what they are....but pretty much impossible to say that the Bible and Evolution can include the other...well by the simple fact that they completely contradict each other!
So, what's god without the Bible ( or any holy book)?

Just to follow up on my question about hell on "Ask a Satanist", I'd like to know about the starbucks stores in heaven? Do they use organic milk?

And for that matter, are there cooler, hipper, less-evil coffeeshops in Heaven? Is Peet's coffee there? Or does Heaven only have local coffeeshops that are even awesomer? Do they have free wifi?

I consider coffee considerably more rewarding than religion, so if there's anything that could change my mind about religion, it's coffee.

His ways are not our ways. He as all knowledge and power in His hands. Our minds will never be capable of figuring out why God decides to do things the way He does. People try to research and disprove God, or disprove that Jesus is the Son of God. Those are the same people that know the BIBLE backwards and forwards and create new religions or only follow some of the BIBLE but will ignore other parts. You can't pick and choose from His word. God is an all or nothing God. It says in the BIBLE that even Satan knows the word. You must also have faith, fast and pray. The most important thing is to know the word. Don't just stop with reading the word and making an assumption about it, like some of us do. You have to pray for guidance.

Firstly, I am lesbian.
I was introduced to my future partner at our office. After some 3 years we decided to purchase a house and live together. My family were accepting,Gwen's were extremely hostile. After many years, our long service leave came due. Gwen told me to take mine as she was "feeling tired. I had a wonderful trip but was told on return that she had died of a virulent cancer. A neighbour had told the hospice Gwen's family address. When informed she was dying they refused to visit asking only to be told when she died so theycould claim the remains. This they did, burying her n a private cemetary under the words. "UNKNOWN TO GOD". This caused me and my family intense suffering. I have learned to forgive them for their treatment.
Irrespective of your possible opinions of myself and Gwenneth. what is your opinion of the treatment of a daughter who could still love them, in spite of 42 years of abuse.
