What's even better is that all this suffering is part of God's divine plan and he knew that all of it was going to happen before he even made us! Take off your religious yoke and become a reasonable person.

Do you believe that God became a man and bore the sin of the world and God's wrath against all the evil done by men, so that men might be forgiven and reconciled to God? Do you believe He rose again from the dead and will one day return to Earth, issuing in an era when peace and harmony are restored in the Earth? Do you believe He died for you? Or do you just believe in a set of rituals?
I was raised a Catholic. Then one day I had a personal encounter with the Risen Christ. I began to study the Bible, and now 35 years later I am absolutely convinced He is completely in charge and will work out everything in His time. "Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one coming to God must believe that He exists, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6) "Faith, you see, can only come from hearing the message, and the message is the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17, Phillips Modern English Translation.)
Read you Bible - Read the Gospels - Read the New Testament. Peace to you !

God doesn't inflict the pain and torching, He helps us through it. There is a saying, All good things come from God, God is good, All the time. All the time God is good. My suggestion to you is to pray and be prayed for. There is power in prayer. I would also try and avoid the things that are making you depressed and loosing hope. Satan is using these things to pull you away, you have to be stronger. With God all things are possible. If God is for me then who is against me? God is all powerful and majestic. I haven't been able to go go to church lately, but it's not a building that makes you a Christian, it's your faith and your heart. Read your Bible everyday and pray at every meal, when you wake up, and when you go to sleep (and more if you can). We're not saved by actions but by faith in Christ Jesus. Pray for God to help others and do what you can to help others be better. If starving children aches at your heart then pray for them and give to a charity to help feed them and/or maybe even become involved with an organization first hand. I see a lot of good in this world, with my family, friends, city, and a lot of other places. Rejoice for positive things and victories. If you only see bad all day then you don't have the time to see the good.

God is allowing the suffering that we see today for a reason. It is a demonstration that mankind cannot rule himself. (Jeremiah 10:23) A rebellion was started in Eden, where Adam and Eve chose to decide good and bad for themselves instead of submit to God's sovereignty.

The Bible promises better conditions in the future. Jesus preached the good news of God's kingdom when he was on earth, an actual government set up by God that will use to accomplish his original purpose for the earth.

Many believe that the conditions that we are seeing today match the Bible's description of the "last days". How long will things go on like this? When he was on earth, Jesus himself did not know the exact time (Matthew 24:36-42)

Until it is God's time, we will have to live in this world the way it is. But when it is time, Jesus Christ as King of God's Kingdom will take action, and the results, as they say, will not be pretty for existing governments. (Daniel 2:44; Revelation 19:11-21)

Remember, God can undo all of the effects that have resulted from mankind's misrule--even death. (Acts 24:15)

What makes you think that God isn't kind and loving? What does all the things you describe have to do with a kind and loving God? Anyone can argue that God isn't loving when they start providing their own definition of loving. Isn't salvation enough? Does God have to offer salvation to us? Couldn't he make it much worse on us? I'm not trying to say that makes the horrible stuff going on the world today okay. If God stopped all the horrible stuff from going on in the world today it would make people believe in him out of fear and not out of faith. Also God gives us freewill. You can do good or bad with your freewill. Some people choose to do bad. You must also ask yourself what you have done against these things. It's easy to put all the blame on God, but maybe he's trying to give us some of the responsibility. God never said that bad things wouldn't happen.
Mark 14:7
7The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me.

Matthew 10:33-35
33But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.34"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

Also God has commanded us to love one another. I think we have messed up. So, please don't blame this on God. He sent Jesus to die for us, and although that doesn't seem very big to some people I think you should pray about that for a while. Does the most powerful being in the Universe and beyond have to do this? Remember this life is only temporary. Heaven is forever. God cares for you and loves you.

Dear slowly loosing faith, Sin entered this world by mans choice God did not want us to be robots to serve , worship him he wanted us to choose freely to love him. So in this when Adam sinned and his seed has as well after that out of mans rebellion God gave us a choice and will not stop us God is an unchanging God and will not make us serve him that is why the world is this way if you read the prophesys in the scriptures you will see the reason for all the stuff going on in middle east and famines this is the birth pains more is to come But one thing is all theese pepole choosing their own rebellion and making theyr desires theyr God will have to bow before him on judgement day and will either be sent to heaven or hell by whether or not they repented of there sins and made Jesus theyr king of life while on earth I know you mentioned you were catholic I suggest you leave the catholic church and find a bible based church perhaps a Calvary chapel you can also google Chuck Smith 5000 series and get free downloadable teachings verse by verse through Geneisis to Revelation Dont loose heart God is a loving and just God it hurts him to see what we have done you can read Noah and Lot with Sodom and Gommorah how it greived him of the evil ways but our salvation would be meaningless if we did not choose him of our own free will and it applys to all the terroists as well. know this Gen 6;6 he repented of man doing as he will judge when he return steadfast for his return is soon and be longsufering as are LORD is and he loves u

It is finally sinking in on you. It? Rhetoric from religious empires. Religious leaders who will say anything to grow their empires.

To scare you and to awe you and to convince you to be good little Catholics, the pope invented God as all powerful, all knowing, and a loving Father image. The other religions saw the Pope's success and they too have told these lies.

But, then they get trapped by the reality of logical consequences.

: "If God exists, if God is love, if God is all powerful, why did God allow that tornado to destroy those mobile homes and kill those innocent children?"

Some religions have the audacity to blame the victims.

Never, say that you don't believe in God, just tell the truth, you don't believe in the God that religious empires have invented.

Cause you know in your heart that some outside eternal force has implanted us with a mutation to worship, and a mutation that allows us to think about an after life.

Proof:

"At some time in our lives, we crave to believe in a protective God; one who will help us, and, hopefully, ever so hopefully, allow us to escape the "D" word; help us escape the consequences of death, and go to Heaven."- Uncle Wayne

I have written a book based on what makes sense if I believe in Heaven, and God, and Evolution, and science, and technology.

It is Called "God's Ancestors; The Story". It is available at LuLu.com and Amazon.com . Or, if you e-mail me, I will send you a free copy.

When I was young, I was taught about the Fall...and I couldn't really see the heavy, nasty, filthy Truth of what that means.

As I grew, I SAW the effects -

...the Watts Riots
. . . ...friends ripped-off, robbed, and nearly raped
. . . . . . ...the history of the World, and the things that some people will do in the Name of God

- and many other evil things.

Thankfully, I also SAW -

...thoughtful, loving people
. . . ...dreams that came true due to godly, hard work
. . . . . . ...people that REFUSED to give up when the going got very, VERY Tough.

- and many other glorious things.

God Almighty gave us the Sovereign right to make CHOICES - and the Duty to make them well. Some won't - others fail to choose well. You belong to God, so you CAN do it...the Question is: WILL YOU...?

As one Christian to another, as your Brother - I call on you not to quit...for my sake if not for yours; for His Name, if not for yours.

May You stand in the Name of Jesus - in the power of His Spirit!

I think you should read your Bible more instead of going to mass to try to get your answers. We are living in the last days. Now is certainly not the time to give up hope. Cling to the only hope we have and that is Christ Jesus.

Does this sound like what the world is going through these days?:

Matthew 24:

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars (Iraq; Israel): see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines (Africa), and pestilences (AIDS), and earthquakes in divers places (tsunamis).

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

All of the words in ( ) I added. That is my own interpretation of what this scripture is referring to.

Don't run FROM God. Run TO Him. He is the way, the truth and the life. If you aren't finding Him in the Catholic church look elsewhere. He is there just waiting for you.

Instead of dwelling on all the bad things happening in the world, find something that you can do to make a positive difference. Wherever you live, hardly matters, I’m sure there are ways that that you can give of your time to help people close by. Live and lead by example and perhaps others will join you.

Remember this; God uses evil to bring about the ultimate good. Trust Him, rely on Him, adhere to Him. Satan is just trying to influence you, don't believe the lies. Keep going to Mass and even consider going to adoration. God is your stronghold and your deliverer. He's just testing your faith to see where it is. Is it in Him?

Embrace the cross which has been placed on your shoulders and carry it with Christ. Your crown is not far off. Those who endure until the end will be saved.
