Why does that matter? He did. That's all that matters.

Sunday morning.
Pesach was Thursday Night (after his burial) to Friday Night. The Sabbath was Friday Night to Saturday Night. He arose Sunday morning third DAY after he died.
This was Middle of April around the year 24 or 26 AD. The Last Supper was Wednsday night to Thursday night -- prepariation day.
Jesus was arrest late Wedsnesay and brought before Pialt early Thursday, then crusified before noon and died before sunset.
Since no work or activities are to take place on Holy Days or Sabbath Days, this all had to be before the start of Pesach on Thursday night at sunset.
The Bible said the next day was the Sabbath, which is a Friday in the JEwish religion Friday NIGHT to Saturday Night.
Jesus arose the next morning just after Sunrise, hence why Constantine picked Sunday to be the Christian holy day.
Why we have Easter Sunday.
Matthew 27:62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
Mark 15:42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
Luke 23:54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
John 19:14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
John 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and [that] they might be taken away.
MATTHEW 28
1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week (Sunday), came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

the second day AFTER passover, whenever that was in AD1. The calender was changed greatly under Pope Gregory to account for true Earth rotation about the sun...Arbitrary dates were set aside for Christmas. But Passover was absolute in the Jewish calendar, and could not be changed. The last supper was a passover celebration. Easter Sunday is hooked to the Jewish calendar, not the Gregorian calender. That is why Easter changes dates and month every year.

The Bible tells us he died on a Friday. He rose on the 3rd day. My understanding is that the Jewish writers would have counted Friday as day 1, Sat. as day 2, then Sunday was the 3rd day. So the answer is Sunday.

It was on Sunday. He was crucified on Friday and rose on the third day which was Sunday. This is why Christians attend church services on Sunday mornings. in honor of His resurrection on the day AFTER the traditional Jewish Sabbath which is on Saturday.

Sunday, unless you figure converting from the cesarean calender to the gregorian calender, then it would be Wednesday
