I am doing a thing for school, and would like to know what others think about this subject. My papper is title ' Can you be christan and a witch'?'. I however know what I think about it. I say yes, for I am one. I worship God and the mother, Jesus aslo. The wiccan gods and goddesses are simply lets say, friends to me. I do not worship them but give them thanks. A person I have dealt with, and paid money to, for services relating to water damages in a basement, calls himself a Christian. We had conversation about things relating to Christian issues while he was doing the job. When it came time to pay him, I wrote the check, ( he overcharged, too, and I'm talking about a lot of money) and he said he would send me a receipt ( income tax purposes; damage to property) It's been 6 weeks, and altho I have asked him on several occassions, he says he'll send it, but never does. I'm sure he doesn't want to claim this on his income tax!
( I need to,claim this, therefore I need the receipt)
My question is, do you feel he is being dishonest?
If he was a Christian, would he say he'd give a receipt, but live up to his word?
Is he "avoiding" paying tax on this income, and how Christian is that?
In all honesty, I trusted him completely, feeling I was dealing with a "Christian"...I guess I should have been a bit wiser, huh?

This is a prophetic poem I was given before 9/11.

Old Glory
Birds fly and flags blow and we all see
But do not want to know.

Hurricane, tornado, fire, and hail,
The winds that blow no mercy show.
"My God, my God, why have You forsaken me."
And God replies: It is not I but you
who have forsaken Me.

You have not said, come back.
We do not need You, You may go.
We are well cared for and fed.
There are no tears upon your bed.

We are but men, can we not see
our need of You, to keep us free?
Is it to late? God please wait.
My mind cannot conceive our fate.

It seems to me the Goddess, if we are to attempt to be monotheists, simply does not substitute in for the God. It suggests the very concept of gender, which implies something dualist, not monotheist. Don't we necessarily need both God and Goddess at a minimum, if gender is a factor at the very top? Or is a monotheist's God not male, but above the very idea of gender?

P.S. Gave up on monotheism myself years ago, but I applaud the effort in those who can make it work. It works only in abstraction for me. (B.A. in Philosophy, U. of Michigan, 1974.)

Islam really is a peaceful religion. Yes there are extermists bombing everywhere but Muslims are not like that. Don't associate Osama Bin Laden with Muslims because to us, he is no Muslim and never will be. I am not trying to promote Islam. It is your choice to accept it or shun it. I just want to speak the truth because I'm sick and tired of people insulting Islam when they don't even know anything about it. Thank you.

I was beginning to get addicted to ambien the sleep aid, and one morning in the back of my head a voice said get the pills and flush them now! so i did right away and i told my doctor not to give them to me anymore because of the effects ambein caused, was that God or my spirit guide because thta medication was very addictive to me, i am very sensative when it comes to meds.

So what does that look like....what kind of freedom does that bring to your soul...why do we hold on to heavy burdens when some we could just let go of (some burdens we can't but others we can)...?

There's no "war on Christmas". There's a desire by those who don't celebrate "Christ"mas to be included in the celebrations, as many people who are not Christian celebrate other holidays (Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Hanukkah, winter solstice, or nothing by name and just celebrate togetherness) .

Is it wrong to want to be inclusive? Is it such a horrible thing to
say "Happy Holidays!" instead of "Merry Christmas!" so that people who don't celebrate that holiday feel like you're talking to them, too?
