if you claim we decended from apes in a very slow and gradual process of evolution, how come we see millions of apes still alive but not ONE transitinoal species between us humans and apes still alive today?

Its kind of a coinsidence all the billions of species between us humans and apes (homoerectus, piltdown man, nebraska man... etc.) all went EXTINCT, not only did they become extinct: we can't even find a perfect fossil of the whole body structure..

Answer this contradiction.

With this in mind, could i be classed as a pagan? I sort of believe in spirits following a ouiji board game i witnessed. It claimed the word die was at the window, It was, written in the condensation. I was sat in front of the window, so knew it wasnt put there by anyone else. But i cant, as i need to see things, believe there is a god. Does all this tie in with paganism?

Mind you, i also believe we should live our lives for others and be honest etc, i wonder how many religions see this as the way forward. We might all be a little bit of all religion,

I know for a fact that god does not exist. Can you believe me? What if I gave you proof of things that can't be possible if there is a god? Well, seem to not be possible. I am not sure. The other side of the moon IS colonated, right? I know this because I heard it and I don't see proof that there isn't. I know that if something isn't being seen, heard or observed in any way, it is not in existent. I heard it from a guy named Schroedinger, and no one has PROVEN OTHERWISE. Right? If there is no proof that there is a god, or , if there is no reason to believe there is a god, then, how can there be? There is no proof that you are human. You are probably all generated by a large mainframe, kicked in by key words from my posts. There is no way there is nothing behind my head. I can't see it. I turn around, but it turns around, too. So it is always behind me, so it must not be there.

Right?

Well, I know it is not PC to say you are all robots. Maybe there is something behind me. God?

When they try to explain the earth is bilions of years old and that it took millions of year for a monkey to evol to man...

Ask them, "why can't we find these millions of missing link fossils?" If their statement is true we should be able to go in our backyard and find thousands of missing links.

Something to think about.

Hinduism, Buddhism, among others, essentially believe communion with God can be had through the self. Why do some of the other religions seem to discourage the practice of meditation? Why do they seem to want human beings to rely on the religious institution rather than themselves? It seems that the truth instead of being given to the people through their religions, is being withheld by their religions. I have also heard that in one of the books omitted from the bible Jesus states that the light is within. This seems to be a clear reference to self-realization. But this information was not included. Then if I bring this up people dismiss it as heresy. Your thoughts on this issue?

This is not a provoctive question, it is out of genuine curiosity. I would like to know more about him. I know he was a prophet and that he is important to the Islamic faith - but I would like to know more about him. What was his relationship with God?

In your life you will met others who will say "everything is relative." To win the arguement, simply ask them..."Are you absolutely sure there are no absolutes." Watch them think.
For them to say everything is relative, they are making an absolute statement. When you point this out to them, they will be forced to think about more aspects of life. hopefully making them a seeker.

Only two scenarios are presented. Curious to know what you think.

The first man: an intellectual thinker who thinks his way out of believing in a God? This man surely utilized all that God meant for Him to utilize--the intellect and reason, but unfortunately he did not "get it" about God Himself. He lived a compassionate live for others.

The second man: he is very humble and actually border on mental retardation, but he loved God all he could. Unfortunately, he couldn't judge much for himself using the excellent reasoning God gave to mankind. But he "felt" it in his heart that he thought God was simply "good". He was at times, unabe to control his impulses, however. He would be indulgent in some sensual pleasures because he couln't help it. He wasn't very bright.

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 )
