Would abortion be so hotly contested if men were the ones who gave birth? Why or why not? Thanks.

When will you come out of ignorance. I have all respect for Jesus but he is not real prophet. Will you wake up and know the truth?

We all know about Saint George, Saint Andrew and Saint Patrick.

What female Saints are there and what did they do? I have heard of St. Cecilia, Philomena and Anne but I do not know what they did. Can anyone help?

Lately, I've come across many stories that pre-date Jesus but share many similarities (virgin birth, walking on water, dying for others, resurrection)....

So why has Christianity become a dominated religion while these other religions are hardly noticed?

Jesus gave us an example of prayer....

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial,
And deliver us from evil.
[For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
Now and forever. Amen.

Did he also give us a slot to ASK for whatever we wanted? He does tells us to ask, in his name, and it will be done, but he does not give us a time frame.

Does it bug you, all the questions about prayer, "why didnt I get it?", "how come it didnt happen?"

How do you view prayer? Is it just to get what you want? And do you believe, if you are not living Gods will, that you will get what you want?

Of course, anyone can answer, but rude posts will be ignored.

Read Genesis 11:1-9. Think! Then reverse the order 9-1:11! Think! 9th month 1st year 11th day! Think! Of Gods design in time!

For instance on Mt. Rushmore there is a carving of 4 presidents. Could that ever be formed by chance.
Science have proven the Earth to be non-static. Which means the universe had a beginning that makes chance impossible. Because there is not infinite possibilites for it to shape the fine tuning of the universe.
Here is some science
http://www.cosmicfingerprints.com/audio/newevidence.htm
Also DNA is coding, which science know that comes about through intelligent design.

If the universe had a beginning then God must dwell outside of time. Therefore not needing in an enviroment or anything to exist.

Do prayers really reach God who attempts to fulfill them? Or is it just mental power of the intention that makes someone's prayer fulfilled? Is it simply coincidence? Or is it more faith than power that makes people believe in prayers?

A group at our church wants us ( me and my boyfriend) to attend there Christmas party to get to know each other better. In fear of forming opinions, we are not sure we want to. We have already got to know a few people and have found they are a bit diff. then we thought and we really don't want to judge or be judged. We like the people in our church as we know them now and are affraid if we get to know them deeper will will not like what we see.

ok i was at church, but it's not my usual church it's the one i go to when i'm going to be late to my regular church. there were giving the first collection basket which i gave to and in the second the priest said that this collection would be one to help the Pro-Life movement. well i'm Pro-choice which doesnt mean i'm Pro-abortion. so i didnt give to that collection...Mind you that this church is a very small church, like 10 people. this pregnant woman, whom i am acquainted with, pointed me out and was saying that oh i'm not a true catholic, i'm against God and blah blah blah...and i'm like look ur judging me and i have my reasons not to give to the collection that i am prolife which doesnt mean that i am for abortions and i starting eplaining to her and all of that my position but she woudnt listen to me...thne i pointed her out! i'm like with a sec you're pregnant and u dont have a wedding band on meaning you're not married...waht happened there? if i'm against God for doing this ar

This was posted under another question: "I take it as an insult to my intelligence when someone tried to convince me that the world started from nothing."

Don't you grasp the irony here? That this is EXACTLY what the creation myth is about, god creating everything out of nothing.

Science actually explains the earth's formation very easily and understandably if you bother taking the time to consider it. Here's a pretty simplistic site for those who have no idea...
http://www.historyoftheuniverse.com/origpla1.html

Now can somebody please explain to me, IN YOUR OWN WORDS without bible quotes, how does god creating everything 'poof' out of nothing, make more sense than natural explanations? I honestly would like to understand why you cling to the creation mythology in this day and age.

There is a two day conference going on in Athens with scientist from all over the world, to talk about the 2,100 year old Antikythera Mechanism (believed to be the earliest surviving mechanical computing device).

What other items do you know about that shows that men have not just reciently gotten smarter?
Evolution says that man is getting bigger and smarter.
Yet here is a nother example that man has had great knowledge in the past.
