I agree with you 100%. Most people tend to choose what agrees with them and not the truth. Truth is seldom welcome especially from those asking for it.

A lot of answers can only be a matter of opinion. So, human bias has to play a big part in the selection process. I would prefer that serious answers get points, but it's not up to me.

Its hard to get a serious answer half the time. When I do ask one I look for one who knows the bible and has really took time to answer my question, but most time I don't even get that. When I ask I want one based upon God's holy word. The question I ask I want people to think plus use God's word. I don't pick best answer cause they agree with me but with God.

I don't anymore, unless the answer is something really special.
I tryed choosing answers that didn't agree with me, and recieved emails about how wrong that was, and I don't feel comfortable choosing an answer that argrees with me, as that is mental masturbation. I let the community decide.
Truth, in the religious sense is subjective.

Stop whining? People can do what ever they want to do. I know you don't agree with my answer so I doubt that you will select this as the best answer, you will pick one that you agree with. Don't be a hypocrite.

I choose my best answers because they are the most appropriate one. If I don't think there is one that fits the bill I let it go into voting.

I don't just choose them based on my opinion, if their answer is valid then they have the right to best answer. If it's just generic stuff like "God is good, peace" then they don't get it unless it's voted as the best.

I choose based on the correctness of the answer, unless it is extremely off -the-wall, you gotta throw a wild card in there somewhere and to be quite honest ,some of these answers make me giggle.

When I pick, I pick for the truth

But there are those on here(alot of them)who pick the answer according to how they feel
Basically, they ask a cornered question and then pick someone who agrees with their views

I choose a best answer, based on whats there...i may not agree, but thats how i learn. If i learned something (after i checked it out) then that was the best answer.

I often choose best answers that go completely against what I believe. I make my choice based on how the answer touched me. Did it make me cry? Did it anger me? Did it differ from my way of thinking? Did it present a unique viewpoint? What did it teach me? Not everyone is shallow.

HO HO HO!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
