Many people including myself hav looked into christanity but how can new people join a religon is their followers seem either sick or psychotic. Normal people dont tell others that we speak different languages because people tried to build a tower to heaven, and normal people certianly dont tell biologist that humans have magical souls that can be tortured after the body is gone.

chrsitians say that death is the penalty of sin.

but my questions:

- why did God set this law from the very begining if he created man falliable by nature , why the games?
- OT says that every sinner should pay for his own sins only .. it's unfair that someone pay for the sins of others

I'm looking forward to read your answers.

Abraham, JC , and Mohamed were all born with in a pretty close distance of one another, especially by US standards. How much do you think this geographical closeness impacts on the 3 faiths and their relationship w/ one another? Is monotheism the rite way to go? Largely, I see monotheism as a consolidation of worship.

Shalom.

I am not a Christian and I've heard recently how Christmas traditions were stolen or copied from Pagan rituals, holidays, etc... Could someone tell me about that? I'm really interested in this.

Or would you be dissapointed?

I have a hard time explaining to my christian friends how much I would love to see my past family and friends in "heaven" but my logical attitude towards religion prevents me from believing in creation. Personaly, I would be stoked.

I was thinking a giant sun in honour of the solstice, which is the TRUE meaning of the holidays BEFORE christianity hijacked the season.

Any other, non christian ideas?

I've always enjoyed the holidays, and have no intention of stopping celebrating a time of year which was celebrated for millenia beofre Jesus.

If you don't know scripture, then please don't answer the question. You are watering down the gospel, and you will be held to account.

Scriptures that support the chastening of the Lord:
Hebrews 12:5-6:
5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as children? It says,
"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his child."

Hebrews 12:11:
11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Psalm 94:12:
12 Blessed are those you discipline, LORD,
those you teach from your law;

Americani asked if he was being punished by God. While I wouldn't use the word "punished", it is indeed possible he could be being disciplined.

This had to be said.

has no record of him. I would think anyone that live in his city would write that the supposed living god live down the street. only christians documents talk about him and most were made far after he even supposedly lived?

Because on Wikipedia it says that 'The Roman Catholic Church or Catholic Church (see Terminology below) is the Christian Church in full communion with the Bishop of Rome, currently Pope Benedict XVI. It traces its origins and sees itself as the same Church founded by Jesus of Nazareth and maintained through Apostolic Succession from the Twelve Apostles.' So wouldn't Catholic and Christian be the same? Also why do the Simpson's think that the Catholic Church is bad?

The story of christ is itself a legend based on the combination of many various gods. Mithras was a Persian god who was born of a virgin on December 25, was visited at birth by magi, grew up and healed the sick, raised the dead, had a last supper with his 12 diciples before dying on a cross, rose to heaven three days later on Easter, and saved man.

The earliest Christian writings have no mention of a historical Jesus, let alone any miracles. It appears that the New Testament was written decades after Jesus is now considered to have lived.

no one gets hurt. The $30 i save i end up spending at stores and restaurants, which puts the money back in the hands of consumers instead of into the cable corporation.
you may end of paying directly for cable but the extra money i send outside of the corporation will only stimulate the economy. You are blinded by the corporation
