Or would you be dissapointed?

I have a hard time explaining to my christian friends how much I would love to see my past family and friends in "heaven" but my logical attitude towards religion prevents me from believing in creation. Personaly, I would be stoked.

Sorry, I should have said Atheists, not evolutionists.

You got the point :)

Have you looked into spiritualism? You can talk to your past family and friends now.. why wait?

"True scientists never completely believe or disbelieve anything" a scientist once told me. All is theory, and theory appears to be true for the maroity of cases. Conflicting theory is tested against it and proven to have merit or not, modifying the original theory and openingthe door for further exploration.

This suggests to me that if superior beings presented themselves scientists would not hide from analysing the siuation. As we learn more about the universe and become aware of the conditions that promote life, we realise that there is more and more chance of the potential for other life forms in the great unknown outside our world.
The chance that they be more advanced than ours is quite probable, although if they looked at earth today through a giant telescope from the other end of the universe possibly all they would see would be dinosaurs wandering around.
Maybe they wont check us out for light years yet. One thing I am sure of - Scientists will rapt when they do.

If the CREATOR of ALL THINGS EXISTED? First of all none of us would be here to ask such questions.
Look at it this way before something can evoluve it has to be created first.
The CREATOR made/remade its selfe out of the chaos that was before/after it. Then Made the SOULS of ALL THAT WAS AND WILL BE from its own body. then created the physical universe. And let the souls come in and marvel at what was created. some entered into the forms that were there and became so engrossed with the sensations that they forgot where they came from much less the fact that they could leave the physical body.
You will "see" their souls in heaven when the time comes.

I wouldn't be disappointed at all. However, I'm the sort of person who thinks Evolution and Creationism can peacefully co-exist. Even the proverbial Watchmaker would need tools. On the flip-side, even evolution never claims to work in a vacuum, devoid of other possible factors.

Just as humans have assisted with the survival of endangered species, it's theoretically possible that some advanced race that beat us to the evolutionary punch by a few billion years may have dabbled with our genetic makeup at some point.

An unjust, unreasonable, forceful alien being of any sort, no matter its motive, would be my enemy, but that isn't how Christians envision god. In order to blank out their minds, abandon reason, and embrace death, Christians must have a mystical god and meaningless universe. If something obviously all powerful arrived in all its glory, I think Christians would reject it from all sides.

Um, do you mean atheists? Evolution has nothing to do with the existence of god - only certain particular gods.

And if there were verifiable evidence for god, I'd be all for it. But, there isn't any. So, until such time as evidence is presented to me, I'm good to go just as I am.

Sure that'd be nice. I'd be kind of mad that I've been wasting my whole life so far studying science and that God put so much evidence negating his own existence around me and the rest of the world...causing it to fight with itself all the time, but at least I'd finally know the "truth"

i think the people your asking this question to are ATHEISTS. and if you can show me PROOF that actually makes logical sense that some type of "god" existed then yes why not? im open for new ideas as long as you have the PROOF to actually back up your statement. cause right now for me at least its like some middle class guy saying he has a million dollars somewhere buried in his back yard...you as him why and he tells you "i just BELIEVE...i have FAITH that there is a million dollars buried in my back yard" so for any logical human being its like "uh...ok..sure buddy *cough*crazyy*".

Who wouldn't want a god? And eternal life? Heck yes, I'd be all for that!

(Then again, I'd be all for Johnny Depp having a killer crush on me) Wishes are great things!

You don't believe in creation, then how did the universe come into existence? All by itself? Without any cause?

If god existed and tried to make himself known, I would pay attention.
