No babe.... No one is punishing you. Practice what makes you happy and don't let anyone put those ideas into your head. If you are getting these ideas from someone close to you, you may want to step back and decide if they are manipulating you for their own self-rightous cause. Be who YOU are--no one or thing is punishing you.

If you are truly Wiccan, why would you believe that a deity of another religion, that you supposedly don't believe in anymore, would be punishing you?

Illnesses are not punishments given out by the Gods of any religion, they are simply imperfections, as we as humans are never perfect.

I have vertigo, so I know how stressful and annoying things can be, but we just have to get on with it.

I have a family member dying of lung cancer, and it always reminds me that things could be worse.

A true wiccan would never ask a question like that. Epilepsy is not a punishment, it is a challenge to be overcome in your life. Something that will eventually make you a stronger person. True wiccans and true christians would tell you that. Faith in what you believe is what will help you to overcome the obstacles you face in life.

Why would you think any Deity is punishing you?
Even if you had stayed Wicca. you probably still had the dis-ease then. It just happened to show up at the time you changed.
Someone will say that it is caused by a battle between your soul and body . All of us humans get sick in one manner or other that has nothing to do with a Deity's revenge.some temporary others more long lasting. Family heredity has something to do with this . AS does what you planed for yourself before incarnating into this world to learn certain lessons or to teach others lessons.

Epilepsy was once thought to signify that the person thus "gifted" was especially touched by the gods. Epileptics often report having visions during seizures. maybe your god/dess is gifting you. maybe you're a seer.

Epilepsy and society
http://www.iop.kcl.ac.uk/iop/prt/epilepsy.htm
Society has never ignored those of its members with epilepsy. Depending on era and culture, epileptic individuals have variously been consulted as seers and prophets, burned as witches, exorcised as possessed, venerated as spiritual leaders, imprisoned as malign, and denied basic rights to employment, marriage and property ownership. In our own time, the real or imagined association between epilepsy and violence, and the question of whether or not criminal acts can occur around the time of a seizure, are of interest.

No, epilepsy is mainly a hereditary disease or could be caused by lead poisoning or a head injury. They may have told you the cause when you were diagnosed. The thing to do now is manage the disease and live as normal a life as possible.
Blaming God or anyone is a waste of time.

I am sorry to hear you have Epilepsy. I hope you find ways to control it easily so that it is not too big a problem in your life. Body failings are not the wrath of gods, but just part of the imperfect human machinery we have to bear with.

Use the experience and the discomfort to know what pain and suffering is to others and to have compassion. You do not need to have some contrived male god to teach you those things, they come from the heart and from experience.

well according to the Bible since you converted from Christianity to Wicca you are definitely damned to hell so no point in trying to go back. But don't worry... any serious scholar who actually tries to find God rather than trying to prove their own religion (Christianity) right, will tell you that Jesus is not who the NT says he is. Paul had a finger in it. Paul is the false prophet Jesus actually warned about and if you bothered to research you would have known this by now.

That's stupid. If you are Wiccan, you don't believe in the Christian concept of God.

None can say that God is punishing you. I do know Christians with Epilepsy. Me.
however, i can say this. sicknesses and troubles are not created by God, however he does sometimes let things happen to people. Isreal got captured by other peoples when they fell from serving God. God acts like a parent, even calls us his children. sometimes he allows things to happen, which arn't pleasant, but it brings us closer to him. A parent doesn't spank a child to hurt them, they spank the child to help them. If a child does not get into trouble for trying to play with a fire, he will get burnt. If the nation of isreal never got overrun and captured by outside nations, the would have never kept serving God and would have been lost.
He does not Cause, but allows, things to happen. sometimes it is purposed to bring us closer to him. sometimes its just random. sin effects us all, causes sickness, causes death, causes the world to be in the condition it is in. "the wages of sin is death"

hope this helps
