We should all try harder to please our Lord. Right? So what is holding us back from the simple "Thank you's" and "I am happy for you's"?

What happens when the Earth rotates?

Do you think he needs you more than you need him, or you are such a great catch that he needs to come specially for you so you can believe on him.

You deny him and he will deny you with his father. What do you think is the meaning of faith?

My mother, a devout, 'perfect' Christian does not know how to let things go. She will 'forgive' someone, but still holds on to it. For example, a couple at our church said some things and left the church for a short period of time. They came back with apologies and my mother 'forgave' them, but will not talk to this couple at all. She sees them coming and nearly runs away to not have to talk to them. When we forgive someone, doesn't that mean that we forget and move on? If God held everything against me that He's forgiven me for, why would I need to ask forgiveness? To fully recieve forgiveness I believe we must be able to forgive others. I am worried for my mother. I tried talking to her about this and she told me not to put my nose where it didn't belong. It's not like I am her 7 year old child any longer. I am 20 years old and having a real concern for her. I am right in believing that she needs to forgive and not hold things against people, even after 'forgiving' them?

I would like to do those tests like "When will I die"
and "What was I in my previous life".
May sound strange but I would like to see what those things say.

He was known as king of the Jews, the one who was to come and establish the kingdom of God. But why was he limited to jewish history only? I mean why he was not revealed in many parts of the world ( say China or Europe) at the same time as being GOd'redeemer.

I do not want to hear that evolution crap, it is a theory, and theory's cannot be proven. If you believe you came from apes that means you are an animal, and animals do not have any perpose in life. And if you do not believe in life after death that means your life has no meaning because you live then die. Where did the big bang come from?Really what is your purpose in life, why were you born if there is no God(and there is)Me I was born for the glory of God. If there is no God then life is meaningless, and if there is not God you are a mistake, and if you are a mistake then your life is definatley meaningless. So why were you born. So does this mean I can call you guys an accident? I can prove there is a God, but can you prove there is no God?

I don't see any similarities. If you're not specific enough then your argument is invalid.

That Harry Potter question made me want to ask this:

Did you christians who are against Harry Potter reading your children any fairy tales before bedtime? Snow White (magic and spells) Cinderella (witches and magic) Peter Pan (magic and spirit world) Wizard of Oz, etc????

Please THINK before you rally against things and find someting better to do like fundraising or something useful.

If you don't want your kids reading certain things, that is fine, but why do you want to regulate what OTHER kids read or are allowed to read?? You don't have that right.

I believe there is an unseen cosmic force that governs the laws of nature, the universe, time, and probability. Some call this force God, but I don't think that term applies to my definition. Unlike the traditional view of most God figures, nothing it does to us is done for our own sake. Everything that happens, good and bad, happens in the larger context of simply making the world go 'round. I don't believe this force is aware of us, or anything else for that matter. It doesn't reward, it doesn't punish, it doesn't judge at all. It just is. In short, I believe in a higher power, but not a God. What does that mean?

I am a Christian myself and love Harry Potter. I hear so often though, especially in church, about how it is wrong. I want to know why certain Christians feel it is wrong. It is make believe, like Star Wars or any other fiction.
