He was the man God chose to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. This was because he humbled himself before God. And because of his devotion, God gave him a great honor of bringing God's Torah to the Children of Israel.

Yeah, watch the movie with Chuck Heston!

Moses was a Jewish slave baby take from the river by Pharoah's (Arab leader guy) daughter and raised as her own and thus was educated and in Pharoh's grace and then he learned his heritage and was cast out and then found God and married a good Semite girl and came back and lead his people out of Bondage by going up against his "half brother" who was now Pharoah.

And he took the people into the desert and brought them the laws of God.

And he got nomiated for an Oscar.

And he gets no residuals from this movie because SAG didn't have extensive residual clauses back then so each year when they show it on TV Chuck gets nothing but priase for his work.

Moses was a mere man just like you and I. Physically he had a speech impediment. Many say he was a stutterer yet God chose him and used him to be his voice on behalf of the whole Jewish people to deliver them out of the bondage of slavery to the Egyptians. He was a great man of God because he humbled himself enough to allow himself to be used by God. God also delivered his Ten Commandments directly to Moses for him to share with his people. If I were to share all the stories of Moses here it the post would be too long. Go to an online Bible and search for Moses. His life and his faith is inspiring.

He helped to save the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. He started his ministry when he was 80 years old and overcame a stuttering habit, too.
