I'm a student of comparative religion and while I was surfing the net, I came across this:

http://thetruereligion.org/modules/xfsection/index.php?category=1

In it are stories of former priests and missionaries talking about their conversions to Islam.

I've heard of scientists, celebrities, scholars and politicians convert to Islam but Christian priests?!! I surfed some more and I even came across Jewish priests and Rabbis too.

Who will convert next? The Pope or Jesus? lol.

I was watching Trading Spouses tonight, and one of the mothers stated, that she is a Christian, and her religion teaches, that she can not remarry unless her current husband dies, even if they get divorced. What religion is that? Or is it that for all Christians?

if an atheist does not believe in God, why do they spend so much time trying to prove God doesn't exsist? it's like satanist don't believe in God, but you can't have satan if you don't have God......prove to me that there is no God, and nothing exsist beyond our knowledge...there is so much we don't understand and yet they say we are the stupid one's for believing in a higher power.......God forgive them.....

Are women treated fairly in Bible?
I have many evidence that they are not, two of them are:

If a woman conceives, and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days. But if she bears a female child then she shall be unclean two weeks. [Leviticus 12:2]

The woman should keep silence in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says. If there is any thing they desire to know let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church. [1 Corinthians 14:34]

They say that it will offend all non-Christians. Did people care about the Christians when "The Da Vinci Code" came out into theaters? So why do non-Christains views matter for than Christian views? It is weird how people get so freaked out when God is mentioned in anything Christmas related. It is his holiday after all.

I am learning about Surah Al-Kahf and don't really understand the translation. I researched Surah AL-Kahf on wikipedia, and all I found was what the surah talks about. Which was the People of the Cave, The ruh or ghost, and Dhul-Quarnayan. I need some help understanding the stories of those. Please help if you know about it. Thanks.

i know this might not be a religious question, but i think that it is a moral one, and i wanted to know how i can do this. he wants a gun for "protection" but i said that he should get a rifle or something.

in my views, i believe that the only uses for handguns are bad, at least if you have a rifle, you can't hide it to kill someone with. how do i convince him that no matter what religion, it isn't a good idea?

I know the Lord asks us to dress modestly, but sometimes I see some christian women singers with lower cut tops, like Lauren Hill. I personally dont agree with all the showyness, and God wants us to save ourselves for when we get married, but what about those who are already married? That still applies right? Im kind of confused!! Help me out please! I've been chewing on this one for a while! Thanks you guys!!

Say a guy who used to run with a crew out in Jersey happened to want to attain enlightenment. Say during the course of his life he may have stolen lots of stuff and offed a few guys who were also crooked, or at least this is what he tells himself to feel better. Can this person ever attain enlightenment?

of your OWN faith or non-faith? It seems to me everyone WANTS to get along here, they even try to get along, I feel ,however, if we spent a little time correcting bigotry or inaccuracy among those in our own little cliques we would spend a lot less time correcting those in other cliques/ groups. Your thoughts or practices regarding this?

Can someone explain to me how on earth can you be a Christian and a witch at the same time? How can you practise Pagan rituals and be a Christian? That is like a Christian celebrating Santa Claus on Christmas instead of the Birth of Christ...
Before anyone says something, I am well aware that Christmas was originally a Pagan holiday!

My husband and children currently attend a very conservative Episcopalian Church. As an atheist who was raised Christian, I am comfortable with my children having some Christian education.

However, I am not willing to have their minds poisoned against others because of differing religious beliefs, sexual orientations, or any other factor that really has no bearing on how good or kind a person truly is. Can anyone suggest a denomination that is accepting of all people, who strive to be moral and ethical human beings?

If you are a Christian, what do you say it is that makes Christians different from the rest of the world?

It can't be just morality, because there are people who live moral lives who aren't Christians.

It can't be just "signs and wonders," because Jesus said that many false christs would come with many signs and wonders as deceit.

So, what do you think is the greatest evidence that Christ lives in the hearts of believers?
