Can someone explain to me how on earth can you be a Christian and a witch at the same time? How can you practise Pagan rituals and be a Christian? That is like a Christian celebrating Santa Claus on Christmas instead of the Birth of Christ...
Before anyone says something, I am well aware that Christmas was originally a Pagan holiday!

Perhaps it is someone who loves Jesus and his teachings (although they may interprete his words differently than most Christians) ... and yet also embrace Wiccan teachings. Many religions mix teachings from more than one belief system and bring them together to form a new religion. So maybe this person you are referring to adores Jesus, and resonates with Wiccan teachings as well. (Just a thought)

Well, the "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" is not an good translation at all. In Hebrew, it's "thou shalt not suffer a poisoner to live". Santa Claus is not a Pagan tradition, that is actually one thing that came out of Christianity... SAINT Nicholas.... But, you're right, the traditions of Christmas come from several different Pagan holidays, adopted by Christianity.
This would also depend on how you define Witch and how the Witch defines it. For as long as I've asked this question, I still have not received an answer... what, Exactly, is Witchcraft anyway? Until that can be defined and explained what is evil about the practices of it, I don't think anyone can say it's wrong. THat's probably why the whole Christian Witch thing is confusing. People are very vague when it comes to what a Witch is.

It is quite simple. Christianity has Pagan roots as does all religions. the first religion was Sun worship. the only big difference is the names used to identify the dieties.
IE. Judisam (Yahweh/Jahovah before Moses and monothisem Yahweh with monothisem), Christantity a sept of Judisam(Yahweh, God, Jesus the "Christ").
Paganism is a Nature based religion (as was commanded by the Creator was Mankind was given domion over the Earth and all the plants and animals on it and to take care of it)Paganism , Wicca,Witchcraft. only uses the natural forces provided by the Creator to try and follow this commandment. They do not believe in the Jewish/Christian SATAN/ DEVIL nor do they worship them. But they do reliaze that there is evil in the world mostly caused by mankind using their souls in the wrong way. That is an idea from the Catholic Christian Church when they could not convert them fully to Christianity. by adopting the rites and rituals of the Pagans into the Church along with other religions for the same reason. And called them Satan worshipers when they didn't. But keep the rites and rituals themselves. as part of their religion.
Unlike the Christian Church the CREATOR of ALL THINGS does not discriminate as long as you reconsize that there is something greater than yourself by whatever name. I am all that was and will be.even though I have as may names as there are stars in the sky and grains of sand in the oceans.
If you are a Christian and celebrating Christ Mass in Dec .24-25 then you are celabrating the birth of christ on the wrong day and using one of the Christian Churches asumption that Santa Clause(a pagan type of figure) and Jesus were born on the same day. And everybody Knows that Santa Clause is taken from a DIFFERENT part of the world and religion. And only used for children as the church doesn't think tht they can grasp the idea of the true meaning of the birth of Jesus and gave them somthing simpler to believe in.
When reading the evidence and knowing something about the way life was lived in that time period and part of the world was in the Springtime.
The Christian Church moved it to compete with the Pagan Holy day of Yule(Winter Solstice,Dec 20-23).The time when the days are the shortest. and rituals are preformed to encourge the Sun to start its return back North bringing longer days and warmth with it.
The Christian Church subsatuted the word SON for SUN to justifity the change.
Judisam also was a Matrical Soctity at one time and the names of the Creative forces were Femine. Just as they are now Masculine as Judisam changed to a Patrical Socity.
Pagaism uses both Masculine and Femine names for the dieties in their own time.
Paganism has a better understanding of trinity Dieties as they have many of them.
Pagans and such had/have no quarrel with the ideas of Christianity it is the other way around.

And now the answer you've been wating for... lol...
The first thing we notice is that there are two words that are each translated one time as "Witch" or "Witchcraft" in the Hebrew Scriptures. 'Anan appears once in the NRSV that way and Qesem once in the KJV. Both these words have clear and precise meanings which are better translations.
'Anan is usually translated in the KJV as "observer of times" and the NRSV usually renders it as "soothsayer". There is no rational reason why the NRSV departs from this practice as it does in Leviticus 19:26. Literally the term means one who watches clouds. From the context of its usage it would appear it means one who makes predictions by observing the clouds. A more reasonable translation would be "meteorologist"!
What we are dealing with here is a prohibition of predicting the future. Of course any reflection at all will realize that predicting the future is something that is also commended in the Hebrew Scriptures! So the issue must be one of how one predicts the future. The root meaning of 'Anan would suggest that predicting the future based on observation of nature is off limits. Of course that causes us a problem today, for we depend on predictions of the future based on observation of nature. But we'll talk more about this issue in the article on Magick.
As far as Witchcraft goes, I view God as the Author of all magick. I feel he has given us this incredible gift: the Earth to teach, heal and sustain us and that it would be foolish not to take advantage of the power that it holds as He expects us to. I have looked into Christo-Wicca but was not able to reconcile their views with my own since I worship only the Holy Trinity. Even some sects of Christian Wtchery have a tendancey to be polytheistic and feminist in their worship if deities.
In the end I simply practice what works for me which is a very Biblical view of God and the Trinity coupled with some rituals and spellwork, ALL done in Christ's name.
Feel free to message me privately if you happen to have any more questions.
Blessed Be and Happy Holidays
P.S. You do not "know" me.

White witch is a title occasionally given to cunning folk. These were workers of folk magic who charged money for removing the supposed effects of witchcraft. A white witch was not a subtype of witch, but a completely different class of person. While there is no evidence for the existence of witches, white witches were a matter of record.
Wicca is supposedly an earth based theology and is not consistent with Christianity in any way shape or form.
The fact that the pagan celebration of son of Isis was celebrated on December 25th is merely a coincidence -- not the roots of the holiday called Christmas.
Chistmas has NEVER been a pagan holiday.
Any references you may have read regarding the so-called pagan origins of Christmas are not biblical and therefore irrelevant.

I am an Atheist and I am a Witch. Being a Witch is not Pagan. Have you not herd of the Witch of Endor who summoned Samuel from his grave to speak with King Saul? She was not a Pagan besides true Witches have no choice. Witches are Witches regardless of religion. Merry Christmas XX Betty.

Witch's and women in general getting a bad rap AGAIN!
Do you ever wonder if some of the stuff in the bible was put there for selfish reasons by some self serving monk or politician from long ago and not the true word of Jesus?
Give over and relax already!
Witch or Wiccans are not Satanists!

So what is your point then? Almost every christian holiday started with some pagan beliefs.
We should be able to separate the two realistically. We have politcially corrected everything to the point that nothing is fun anymore. When I was a little girl and going to church all the time, we had Halloween parties that were sponsored by our church. We believed in and thought Santa was great fun with the holidays and the Christmas parties. Nowadays, every one is miserable fighting for who is right.
As for the christian witch thing, there is no such animal.

Do some research. First off.. pagan is used to describe non christian/judeo/muslim religions.
2nd, it's all about praying to the holy trinity. many beliefs of christian WICCANS (not pagans you misinformed maladroit moron) are adapted so the holy sacraments, the 10 commandments etc are incorporated in their prayers for GOOD intentions on themselves, protection from evil witches and Satan and good health for all who deserve it.
plus christian witches are MUCH tolerant than narrow-minded baptists and hypocritical evangelicals.
BIG BIG BIG EDIT:
God... there are so many ignorant, narrowminded Christians here. As a catholic, I'm ashamed to be in the SAME FAITH as you snake handlers
