As a Christian you are representing the Lord. As far as dressing you should dress to represent Him! The holy spirit will convect you when you are not representing God and as a christian you should recognize the spirit and listen to what God wants you to do and trust and obey Him!

I think women should wear what they find comfortable, even if this is somewhat revealing. It depends on the situation. If I see a girl in a tight shirt and short shorts in warm weather, I won't give it a second thought. But it's when the same attire is used in the winter months -- and frankly, I don't know how they've not frozen -- that it gets a bit weird. But revealing clothing is related quite a bit to sexuality, and in college, that's addressed very differently from how it's dealt with in high school. Coming here for the first time this semester, I go down to do my laundry and come face-to-face with a condom dispenser. So while a certain degree of revealing clothing is fine -- it's based on culture and style preferences, after all -- the part that has girls going out in freezing weather in shorts so short you could probably see their underwear if they bent over... Well, then I just shake my head and keep walking, in my jeans and warm, cozy hoodie.
So I guess overall I'm just saying that whatever's practical works.
As for the singers... I don't know much about them, since my music tastes are rather odd. (Long live the '70s! Wait, I wasn't born then.) But if they get famous enough, then, from what I gather, they begin to lose a certain amount of control -- and this applies to all performing artists. With enough popularity, they begin to lose control of things like wardrobe, and usually the people in charge of that are only concerned with increasing popularity further -- and their own salaries, no doubt. Unfortunately, "less is best" seems to be the popular "style" right now, so everyone who wants to be someone ends up falling into it. I just hope that, because she is a Christian singer, the message is more important to guys who might, in a different case, have taken great notice of the attire. But part of that, also, seems to be that guys nowadays are thinking of less clothing as "normal", so the definition of "showy" is changing.
But I'm not even out of my teens yet; what do I know? Sometimes, I think most of my peers have gone completely off the deep end. The younger the person, the worse it seems to be.
IT'S WINTER. WEAR PANTS. D=

The Bible clearly tells us not to be a down trodden to someone else. So we r 2 show wisdom NOT lewdness
Now this is coming from a man who fights this all the time with the way women dress. If I'm to stay away from temptation(low cut) I'll put myself farthest away from it.
Don't let yourself be confused by GOD WILL 4GIVE YOU or GOD KNOW YOU HEART look at how one dresses, would God approve? I hope this helps you.

"Biblical guidelines for women to follow in dress are as follows:
1. It should not pertain unto a man
2. It should be modest
3. Women should dress with shamefacedness.
4. Women should dress with sobriety and moderation."
See his full answer which includes Adam Clarke's commentary, a thorough treatment of all things modest for men and women professing Godliness. God bless.

Lust for a woman is as the sin of adultery. So a woman should never dress in a way that would be causing a man to sin.
A woman is accountable for causing lust, and a woman knows when she's doing it. Some women say it's the man's problem, but the woman is no less accountable. She is guilty too.

I'm a Muslim woman and I dress modestly as it pleases ALLAH, is part of Islam, and I respect my body enough not to show off for other men other than my husband. And yes I believe all women should dress modestly.

As a married christain woman,I try to dress respectful to my self and to my faith. But I also understand that clothes do not make a christian. I think it is fine to wear updated and in style clothes and be a christain. When it comes to revealing clothes I don't think everyone has to see everyone elses body, that is not what we were made for.

The state of a woman's dress in church can give you a clue as to her maturity in her faith. When they first come to church, we honestly don't care what they wear, as long as they show up! Sort of along the lines of the old gospel song "Just As I Am".
However, a woman of a more mature faith will know that she should dress modestly and it means more to her to do so.
It has nothing to do with 'showiness' really, they simply are ignorant of what they should be doing.

I think it should be modest but not so much that you never see my ankle. I do not like very low cut things because my cha-chas don't like the breeze. I like dressing classically with a casual feel. Meaning no "patch' of cloth covering my entire bod. You should want clothes that make you feel good but not like your job is not what your job is not if you catch my drift.
