Why do Priests convert to Islam?

I'm a student of comparative religion and while I was surfing the net, I came across this:

In it are stories of former priests and missionaries talking about their conversions to Islam.

I've heard of scientists, celebrities, scholars and politicians convert to Islam but Christian priests?!! I surfed some more and I even came across Jewish priests and Rabbis too.

Who will convert next? The Pope or Jesus? lol.

Because it is the truth. Jesus said worship God, the church distorted this message. The early followers of Jesus believed he was a Prophet. This was changed under the roman empire influenced by greek and roman methology. All the Prophets said worship God alone.

Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allâh is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allâh, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allâh, then Allâh has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong­doers) there are no helpers. (Qur'an 5:72)

For Priests must Sacrifice Pleasures that are the Foundation of Islam
An Arab intellectual (EU) wrote a book. On TV he put bluntly what millions of Westerners already knew. Islam is a Libido "religion".
All is based on the worst type of pleasures. The ones derived from Slavery.
Muslim means "Submitted"
Islam doesn't recognize individual freedom
All people must be "Allah Slaves". Of course the Creator wants the opposite. HE gave Freedom,the most precious gift to humankind.
If "Allah" wanted slaves
And if Allah is "almighty"
He certainly needs no man or mullah to impose his will
As any intelligent believer would admit, nothing is impossible to "God"
If He can create the Universes, HE can impose Slavery in one click so to speak. As He is imposing limits on Satan, his evil twin.
If Allah was almighty, we all would live in perpetual terror to be suffering without the "FREE WILL" to stop the suffering since Slaves have no free Will according to Islam or at least the corrupted version of their book.

Any priest converting to Islam was never a priest. Only an aborted failed priest that
wanted the Butter, normal human pleasures or perverted ones (pedophily)
The Butter's Money, Money or anything buying Pleasures
And the Smile of the Farmer lady, POWER and Influence on People

But Priesthood is a Sacrifice. It is all the contrary of the Ayatollah's or Mullah's life of endless hidden pleasures.
That Sacrifice is the "suffering" to be Granted the real God's Power, the Power that Blesses people's hearts and heals all the pains with the Promise to meet God one Day. Not 72 virgins. Heaven is not a Brothel. The Spirit is incompatible with porn, pedophily and sexual slavery.

By converting to Islam,all the weakest humans aspire to a life of pleasures and DOMINATION. Men dominating women. Women dominating their daughters. Older women dominating the young. Brothers dominating their sisters. burning them or killing them with the father's consent or the mullah's or the Tribal chief, all submitted to the many sheikhs themselves submitted to the "King" who is submitted to his Rivals (Fear and Suspicion).

it is why any convert to Islam is a Slave who hates Free Will because it is TOO MUCH EFFORT. Too much work. Too much Control on lower instincts.
It is elementary psychology. It is all about Power and Domination. Nothing about Adoring the Creator like we Love our Loving relatives or even the non loving. It is Nothing about Faith and the Real Religion.
Respect The Creator and Serve Him FREELY.

There is no need to go to university to see simple Truth.
GOD gave us a Head in order to Think Freely. Otherwise the wicked people serving Cruelty would have been able to READ inside your head. But no mullah and no ayatollah and no Saudi King can Read inside Your head because the CREATOR is the Only One Perfect and Loving.
Voila. Hope I was simple enough. It is all before our Noses.

Notice that the link you posted is from an Muslim website, of course they'll claim that. There are plenty of Muslims converting to Christianity too when they notice that Islam is only a cult of death, Mohammed was no prophet at all, he even made up some verses to please locals. after he had finished writing the Quran. The history says that Mohammed got his "revelations" while having muscular spasms, which would lead to allucinations.

I always take everything with a grain of salt and think about the source of what I read and what they are trying to convince me of.

The wildest and craziest kids growing up turned into the most some of the most fanatical religious freaks I know. I used to wonder about how they could make the dramatic switch, and then I realized it was not that big a switch at all. They are extremists in whatever they do.

Same thing might apply to someone like a priest who throws themselves very heavily into one religion.

To begin with, the list on the web site you showed is not that much considering how old the time line these people converted, and I have to say I’m not surprise one bit, , even Jesus had Judas around. We all have our own Judas. It just stings when he kisses.

Trading one superstition for another is meaningless. There are Muslims who convert to Christianity too. Maybe you heard about the one guy in Afghanistan who did it. Then they wanted to kill him. Which just goes to show how lovely religion really is.

By the way, regarding the fella above me who said that the 'wild and crazy types' he knew growing up turned religious, yes, I've seen that too. But mostly what it seems to be is that they are posers who constantly need people attention to them, so they turn 'religious' because it's so 'shocking' and out of character. Blah. People I know who do things like that sicken me almost as much as religious zealots.

Tired of celibacy. Islam, by allowing up to four wives (and more for prophets), provides a means of making up for lost time. :)
