Why are so many people scared of God? Why do we think that he is just a big cosmic judge in the sky ready to strike us down when we sin? Doesnt it say that Jesus (God) WEPT in compassion for the human race? Didnt he DIE so that we dont have to fear judgment?

It came to my attention in a previous posting that the Book of Isaiah is not in the Torah (forgive my ignorance regarding Judaism). My question is, do those who follow Judaism still consider the prophecies of Isaiah to be divinely inspired?

6000 years old. Men who analyzed the Bible, guessed at time periods, and took the 7 day Creation as a LITERAL 7 days estimate it to be 6000 years old. God never said it, Jesus never said it, the Bible never said it.

Now, can we accept MEN came up with the number, and give God a little credit, that it is possible the world IS as old as Science dates it, as God himself never told us exactly how old it was?

Anyone agree?

14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Has there ever been a time in Jewish History that a virgin conceived, had a child, and named him Immanuel? Is Immanuel supposed to be the Messiah? If not, who is he?
If the Messiah is named Immanuel, and that name means 'God with us'- doesn't that mean that he is God? and more than a mere man?

I appreciate all opinions on this question
thanks

From Mrs. Suha Arafat
Email; suha_arafat_yessa@yahoo.com

Dear Intending partner,

This mail may not be surprising to you if you have been following current events in the international media with reference to the Middle East and Palestine in particular I am Mrs. SUHA ARAFAT, the wife of YASSER ARAFAT, the Palestinian Leader who died recently in Paris. Since his death and even prior to the announcement, I have been thrown into a state of antagonism, confusion, humiliation, frustration and hopelessness by the present leadership of the Palestinian Liberation Organization and the new Prime Minister. I have even been subjected to physical and psychological torture. As a widow that is so traumatized, I have lost confidence with everybody in the country at the moment.

You must have heard over the media reports and the Internet on the discovery of some fund in my husband secret bank account and companies and the allegations of some huge sums of money deposited by my husband in my name

1) Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male & female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. Does this apply to Mexicans and Canadians?

2) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2. clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or do I ask the police to do it?

3) Lev.21:20 states that I may ! not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle- room here?

4)My Cousin has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse& blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16.

Thanks for your help!

Why bother even creating all the bad people if they were going to go to hell anyway? Or is God NOT all knowing?

If he was resurrected from the dead 3 days later, then he was only dead for 3 days.
Sorry, that isn't the same as dying. That sounds more like a coma. When a soldier dies for his country, that is a sacrifice and that is DEATH. A dead soldier isn't comming back....ever.

Where is the Sacrafice if he only died for 3 days?

Imagine if everybody came back from the dead after 3 days.....death wouldn't have the same meaning would it?

Also, when Jesus ascended (went UP) to heaven. Heaven, in those days described everything in the sky. He rose straight up according to the bible.

1. Did Jesus reach the required 7,000 mph to break through the atmosphere?

2. Did Jesus wear a space suit to protect himself from the radiation of space above our earthly atmosphere? (I find it odd that a cat-of-nine tails can rip jesus' skin, but he has NO PROBLEM floating through space unprotected.)

The nephilin will return then. Jesus said it will be like the days of noah, the bible, past is ;is a foreshadow of things to come. You missed it; this statement is only understood if you really know God and the bible. I`m not trying to be a tart, just bringing up anylitical facts, usually not mentioned from these questions.

One of the few moral Christian values I disagree with. Why did God make it a sin when it only brings pleasure and doesn't hurt anyone? (No I am not a Lesbian) kisses Betty.

was a Radical Christian Group, who strapped bombs to their bodies and blew-up innocent people and themselves, and who threatened to wipe-out entire countries and all their peoples. ... . . . . Don't you think that every minister, preacher, priest, deacon, bishop, pastor, etc. etc. would OPENLY condemn these acts immediately, publicly, and emphatically !!! I would also guess that they would TRY to bring the members of that group back to God and explain their mistakes to them in PUBLIC !!!!

So why oh why has so much time passed ..... .and the Muslim Clerics, Imams, etc. etc. HAVE NOT done this ???

People that know the love of the Savior have a particular peace in their heart and love that they want to share. I believe this is where the conflict lies. We want to share the love and feeling we have from knowing Him and others have either known a person, or few, that has completely turned them off or just want to be left alone. We are suppose to love one another, when you love someone you want to share with them what makes you happy, that is why we try to share, not out of disrespect. Anyone agree?
