If he was resurrected from the dead 3 days later, then he was only dead for 3 days.
Sorry, that isn't the same as dying. That sounds more like a coma. When a soldier dies for his country, that is a sacrifice and that is DEATH. A dead soldier isn't comming back....ever.

Where is the Sacrafice if he only died for 3 days?

Imagine if everybody came back from the dead after 3 days.....death wouldn't have the same meaning would it?

Also, when Jesus ascended (went UP) to heaven. Heaven, in those days described everything in the sky. He rose straight up according to the bible.

1. Did Jesus reach the required 7,000 mph to break through the atmosphere?

2. Did Jesus wear a space suit to protect himself from the radiation of space above our earthly atmosphere? (I find it odd that a cat-of-nine tails can rip jesus' skin, but he has NO PROBLEM floating through space unprotected.)

Please Explain how the crucifixtion and torture was enough of a sacrafice to cover all of mankind. Sorry, but there are many examples ofU.S. soldiers in vietnam and WW2 who indured worse torture than jesus. Castration, fingernail ripped out, eyes gouged out, tourture that lasted MONTHS, not days.

Ya know, I never even considered if he attained Terminal Velocity.... But seeing as they had no idea of that concept back then, Im certain he didnt have to attain 7000 mph.... Remember - God is magical! He can do anything his followers say he can!

You can answer this question for yourself, but you will have to stop thinking earthly.

Think about this, according to the bible Jesus was beaten. When I say beaten,I mean severely. The weapon of choice for flogging for the Romans was the cat of nine tails. This weapon had lead balls embedded in the straps along with I think it's goats teeth. The teeth I'm not sure about. It was some kind of animals tooth where when the soldier slammed the back of the condemned,it would literally bite in to the skin, and rip it.

Jewish law said forty lashes only, but they always did thirty nine to make sure they were in the parameters of the law.Do you think for a second a Roman soldier is gonna give a crap about Jewish law.Not.
Not only did he bleed to death, but he also suffocated on his own fluid that built up around his lungs. He couldn't push up on the iron spike through his feet, therefore he couldn't inhale.Hanging from the cross kept him in a constant exhale position. He also got a spear rammed through his rib cage for good measure to make sure.Yes,he indeed did die.

He was not in a coma. THink about it. When some is in a cross they have to push up with thier legs in order to breath, once they were worn out the sufocated. That's what happened with Jesus. Then a guard plunged a spear through His side, and blood and water came out. It is impossible for someone to live through that.

He was willing to be whipped, spat on, beaten, and crucified for us because He loves us. He didn't need a "space suit" because He is God.

You should watch The Passion of the Christ.

And I find it odd that you can't distinguish between the scourging being before His death and the Ascension being after His Resurrection when He then had the new, resurrected, glorified Body.

the main sacrafice was not in those three days ,it was in his suffering and his passion in carrying the cross and allowing himself to be crusified even though he was innocent and son of god.his sacrafice is that he came to this world being aware of the fact that he would have to die brutally on the cross to free us from sin.right from day one jesus knew what his fathers plan was and what goal he had to accomplish.who else would have the courage to give into such a sacrafice?the rest of your stupid Qs i assume are due to your lack of knowledge in spiritual and holy power.
dear candy, science alone cannot explain the reason why you and i are born in this world.the birth of every child on this planet is a myracle all by itself ,which proves the existence of god.what jesus has done for us is glorified and does'nt need any further justification.

Ok, first off your stupid. Heaven doesn't have to be through the atmosphere. It is just above us and all around. Don't get all gay scientific and technical on us. You must be an atheist so i'm just gonna hope you change your views and turn the right way.

What if every man and woman who dies DOES come back? As flies? Death doesn't mean much then.
What if you were intelligent? Would people give you more respect? Maybe.

What he suffered even before being nailed to the cross was WORSE than death and to make light of his sacrifice is being very arrogant in my view.

You are free to believe or not believe, what is your point of the question though?

Peace!

I could give you a rational answer to this question. But, I think it would be a wast of time, as your limited mentality wouldn't be capable of absorbing it thoroughly.
