was a Radical Christian Group, who strapped bombs to their bodies and blew-up innocent people and themselves, and who threatened to wipe-out entire countries and all their peoples. ... . . . . Don't you think that every minister, preacher, priest, deacon, bishop, pastor, etc. etc. would OPENLY condemn these acts immediately, publicly, and emphatically !!! I would also guess that they would TRY to bring the members of that group back to God and explain their mistakes to them in PUBLIC !!!!

So why oh why has so much time passed ..... .and the Muslim Clerics, Imams, etc. etc. HAVE NOT done this ???

That would never happen. God hates violence, so a radial christian group will never exist. If they blow up people then they aren't christians.

There are and have been radical Christians who bomb abortion clinics and kill doctors and nurses. Yes these actions are condemned by many Christian leaders, but accepted, endorsed and encouraged by others.

The problem is not one of a particular religion. The problem is on of extremism and intolerance.

This is fostered by the rigid thinking fostered in religious thinking and the defensiveness necessary since every religion thinks it is the only one that can be true and right.

Also, (I think) many Christian leaders who would like to agree openly and encourage this behavior, cannot do so because they would risk loosing their following, their income and their tax advantages.

These issues are not problems for many radical islamic leaders since the government and the popular cultures in their areas of dominance are in total agreement with the extreme position.

Maybe you should read some history and see what the Christian faith was doing to Muslims (and other non-Christians) during the Middle Ages and the time of The Crusades. All of the stuff that went on (invasions, inquisitions, burning at the stake, what-have-you) was all sanctioned by leaders of the Church.

What goes around, comes around...and no one has learned a darned thing.

P.S. People in glass houses should not throw stones. A lot of so-called Christians seem very quick to criticize, condemn, and sit in judgment on others. We need to clean up our own house and quit expecting more of others than we do of ourselves.

Good point, however, how many Christian leaders have you ever heard denouncing the violence at abortion clinics and Fred Phelps and things like this "openly, publicly, immediately, and emphatically"

Some have.

But there is no clear central leadership within Islam, Catholics have the Pope, who represents about half of all Christians.

They have.

It's just that the radical imams, clerics, etc are the ones that everyone focuses on.
