Wasn't he tempted by devil? How can someone without a sin be tempted? Temptation only appeals to person's sinful nature. If there is no sin - there can be no temptation. If Jesus was without sin he would not even be aware of the fact that devil tried to tempt him.

It's Proverbs 28:23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

I must be having a blonde moment because I don't get that verse at all, I don't see the analogy. Can you help?

No offense here, honest curiosity. In your faith, do you believe everything is pre-destined to happen to you, such as who you marry, how many kids you have, even down to how and when you will die, and if so, does that mean you do not believe in free will?

If you believe in free will, AND pre-destination, how do you reconcile the two?

Pre-destination, for the sake of argument, you are stuck to follow a path, your choices are already determined, you make them, but you make them because you were supposed to.

Enlighten me. (I believe free will, not pre-destination, so Im curious about others)

We are not all bad people.
If you met me would you show the hatred I've been reading so much on all of the posts here? It makes a lot of Americans look bad. I just want to see how Americans feel, really. Im sure each person is differant.

I know what prophecies that Christians refer to, but since the Jewish faith doesn't think Jesus was the Messiah, can anyone refer me to a place where I can read the prophetic verses that the Jews are waiting for?

I base this off some answers to another question about the virgin birth. It seems to not be a part of things. Some said Isaiah isn't in their bible....

I was standing in front of a statue of a Hindu goddess with eight arms. I jokingly asked why she was so blue. It came alive and slapped me. Now I have four slap marks on my face.

There is a book that's about someone's look into hell. I think they like died for a little while, then were sent there....and came back alive or something. I think it's supposedly factual, and was told about it from someone in my youth group.

If you know anything, please let me know.

I DONT BELIEVE IN ANY RELIGION. This question is a follow-up to the amazingly poor reasoning used in a question by a person who asked the same, about Muhammad.

Clearly, if you think that Islam must be true, because it is the second largest religion in the world and God wouldnt allow it otherwise, you are pathetically lacking in intelligence.

If your foolish enough to use this logic, then of course you must become Christian, cause God has allowed people to believe Jesus is the son of man, for 2000 years!

It doesnt matter whether Islam came along after and created another prophet they also called "jesus", the fact remained that non-muslim Christians continued to believe otherwise, in larger numbers, and still continue to believe otherwise in larger numbers, all with God's persmission!

Wow. The level of stupidty here is just unreal. How can you have any faith in humans when you see such stupidity?

Seriously, it amazes me that so many people believe so blindly with all the discrepancys of organized religion and the bible. I believe in God, in life after death, and that we have our own precious soul which we are truly responsible for.
This question isn't meant to insult - I really want to know why you take man's word for God's, meaning the preachers, ministers, rabbis and priests, and do so without questioning the discrepancys and hypocrisies of organized religion. How do you trust another man or woman with something as valuble as your soul? Shouldn't it be your job and God's?
Please, someone, give me a logical answer.
