I don't like it much, but I do respect anyone making music to glorify God. I prefer christian dance music, or foreign christian music from places like India & Brazil.

Gospel Music has changed throughout the Years. In some ways good, in some ways bad.
I hear a stronger Worship of God in alot of Music, then in some I simply see more flashy, insincere performance.

I don't like it. There may be a few songs that don't irritate me, but I can't stand all the frilly notes. It seems to be more of an emotional Argumentum Ad Populum fallacy, where people get all into the words and worked up just because everybody else is.
No offense to gospel music, or those who perform or enjoy it...it just isn't my thing.

It was the basis for R&B. It is great. Listen to some of Aretha Franklin's R&B early stuff and Ray Charles, they both have alot of gospel inluence. Elvis Presly does a few gospel songs.

Gospel Music...
Well I have to say I've been raised with a church back ground. It's not something that I totally rave about listening to. However since my grandparents have passed, it's nice hearing it from time to time to remind me of them. (OLD BLUE GRASS isn't all that)
The music has changed in the past few year's. It's not all guitar's, and strings... today's society has spiced it up to have some flare to it.
Hope you find something you like...

I'm not religious, but some of it is wonderful, very moving. Gospel isn't among my favorites, but I enjoy a lot of religion-inspired music. I'm looking forward to attending at least one performance of Handel's _Messiah_ next month. I adore that.

For the most part, it is neither. Just worldly music fitted with ... ' Christian ' ... lyrics. Was it Jeroboam the son of Nebat or Ahab who made priests of the lowest of the people, one should ask.
