Wasn't he tempted by devil? How can someone without a sin be tempted? Temptation only appeals to person's sinful nature. If there is no sin - there can be no temptation. If Jesus was without sin he would not even be aware of the fact that devil tried to tempt him.

The devil tempted Jesus but Jesus was not tempted, there's a significant difference. Jesus was without sin. He had no interest in the devils temptations without delay.

Jesus was without sin because the Bible documents it, and the Bible is inspired by God.

Yes, Jesus was tempted by the devil and was aware of the fact because He conversed with Satan.

Anyone can be tempted, whether they've sinned in the past or not. This is because human nature IS to want to sin.

There is always sin on this earth. If there is no sin, that is because Christ has already returned, and Satan has been bound up - because Satan is the originator of sin.

I believe that exact point is why jesus was perfect. he was tempted because he was human. but the fact that he did not commit the sin because of the temptation is what made him not sin. i.e. the devil would ask him to beat a man who just spit in his face...Jesus would not. We all would but he did not. He never fell into sin he fought the temptation. We all try but I can guarantee that as we are all human we sin every day.

The definition of sin 2. any act regarded as such a transgression, esp. a willful or deliberate violation of some religious or moral principle

Yes it is true. You can be tempted without actually sinning. You have a choice when you are tempted. Anytime you decide not to do or say whatever it is, you have decided not to sin. Temptation was there but sin did not occur.
Jesus was human but He wasn't stupid. He knew exactly what was going on when Satan was tempting Him.

Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ [PBUH], as the Elect One, was without sin for He followed The Law.

I believe you are mistaken in your perception of Temptation. Think of Temptation as going fishing in a huge pond...

The Devil has NO BARRIERS when it comes to Temptation, and the fewer sins a person has, the "bigger" the fish they are for him to catch since the most sinful persons are simply far too easy a catch. Get it?

Peace be with you.

Adam and Eve were "tempted" as well - it worked with them, so Satan thought maybe he could try it out on Jesus. It's all about the free will thing. Satan started out as an angel himself, who decided to sin. Sinning just means going against God's laws. Even the angels can be tempted.

AWESOME QUESTION! Temptation is NOT sin, it is temptation.
It becomes sin, when we act on it, or accept the temptation.
So, when you are tempted to look at, say a chick in a mini-skirt & "imagine" you have not sinned until you commit to doing it.

Get into the Bible and study this for yourself...it will really free you up!

People are not the ones that set our theology, the Bible is and it says that Jesus was without sin. No! Temptation does not automatically contain sin. I personally don't agree with you that if there is no sin there can be no temptation. I think you made that one up.

Temptation isn't sin. Giving into it is. The bible tells us this. It also tells us that Jesus never sinned. But remember that even the Disciple Peter was a sinner, yet even he walked on water (briefly).

Jesus, when He walked this earth was both fully God and fully man... the mortal flesh could be tempted... but he did not sucumb to it... Jesus was sinless untill he took into himself, on the cross, all of the sins of mankind, past, present, and future. It was then, on the cross, that That which was of God left the mortal body. Because God will not be in the presence of sin... that was when Jesus, in the mortal flesh, cried out. " Father why hast thou forsaken me"... this was a cry of mortal agony beyound what any other mortal could endure...
