One of the few moral Christian values I disagree with. Why did God make it a sin when it only brings pleasure and doesn't hurt anyone? (No I am not a Lesbian) kisses Betty.

Sorry about the misspelling of holy. Thanks for pointing that out it was unintentional. Kisses Betty

I know it was condemned as a sin. I have read many of the quotes. I just wonder why it was considered a sin as it didn't hurt anyone and is just an act of pleasure? Can anyone give me an opinion?

Instead of my question being answered. Now I am asked what do I care about the Bible? Am I not allowed to increase my knowledge though I don't believe in something? It seems to me that is a closed minded person? Knowledge is beautiful and I love fiction. Kisses Betty

Your question seems to be asking for a biblical point of view so I'll give it to you according to the Holy Bible. You are correct that some acts bring pleasure and ask a good question about why pleasure is a sin. The bible says sin is pleasurable for a season, and then brings death. Death has many biblical definitions, one of which is eternal seperation from God in the lake of fire. God doesn't want this for anyone, which is why you're wrong. It does hurt someone...it hurts you (I mean you in general, not you only Betty).
Now, all of us are sinners by nature. We all seek pleasure among other things because it's natural for us to do. Some pleasures are okay with God. However, it's very difficult for us not to seek sinful pleasures. God knows this about us. So He devised a plan to save us from this eternal death. A supreme sacrifice that would cover the sins of the entire human race, to anyone willing to accept His sacrifice by faith. Of course, we know this sacrifice to be Jesus Christ.
Think of it another way. It might be pleasurable to eat that sweet chocolate covered, candy coated, rat poison. But it will kill you.
Hope this helps.

Romans 1:26-27:
The text reads (in the King James Version):
Romans 1:26-27: "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence [sic] of their error which was meet."
This passage is unique in that it is the only place in the Bible that refers to same-gender sexual behavior by women. Bennett Sims, the former Episcopal bishop of Atlanta, believes that these verses have done more to form Christians' negative opinion of homosexuality than any other single passage in the Bible. He writes: "For most of us who seriously honor Scripture these verses still stand as the capital New Testament text that unequivocally prohibits homosexual behavior. More prohibitively, this text has been taken to mean that even a same-sex inclination is reprehensible, so that a type of humanity known as 'homosexual' has steadily become the object of contempt and discrimination."
Whatever!

In Genesis 19:1-29 the cities of Sodom and Gommorah were destroyed because the people were so wicked. The men of the city wanted to have sex with other men. So God's judgement on the city was to destroy it by raining down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah.
Leviticus 18:22 (speaking to men in Israel) "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."
Leviticus 20:13 "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
Romans 1:26-27 "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. EVEN THEIR WOMEN EXCHANGED NATURAL RELATIONS FOR UNNATURAL ONES. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."
1 Corinthians 6:9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders...will inhereit the kingdom of God."
1 Corinthians 6:13 "The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body."
1 Timothy 1:8-10 "We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers."

Really? I only see passages in the Bible describing how it is a sin for two MEN to engage in sex - not women. They are curiously left out of the Bible.
God loves Jews and Lesbians only - everyone else suxs.

Oh, but it DOES hurt people.
What about rape? What about two consenting adults who sleep together and end up having children they don't want? This creates abortions, the killing of babies. Families destroyed because people wanted to have sex outside of marriage and the children get ignored. Not to mention the emotions involved. When people have one-night-stands and sleep around their usually an emotional time-bomb waiting to explode inside.
Almighty God has provided a way for a man and a woman to express their love towards one another in an awesome way through marriage.

That train of thought comes from the idea that an action is only wrong if it hurts someone else. You're not considering sin as any action prohibited by God, period.
If that's one of the few you disagree with, then why stop there? Polygamy, heavy drug use, beastiality, why not? You're not hurting anyone else, right?
Or is there a set of rules that our Designer made that we should agree with because He knows better?

That's one of the letters from Saul of Tarsus (Paul) that made it into the bible. It goes to show you that if you're a powerful and dynamic personality, your opinions dominate. Why they would stick one guy's letters to early church communities into a book and say it's the word of god is more perplexing than the decision to just take the most popular interpretation of Jesus' message and make them the 4 gospels. Weird stuff all around.

If human beings do it then it is organic, basically the supernatural is unnatural

From my understanding, there is absolutely no mention of female homosexuality in the bible at all - only male homosexuality, and one of the reasons it was considered BAD was that it did not result in any more children for the "tribe", thus it did not increase the strength (in numbers) of the "tribe".
