I know a few Christian people who say that we all have to be vegetarians in order to follow God's will. Where is the biblical reference to Vegetarianism? There are definite referenses to the ability to eat meat.

i know (and feel for) a few wonderful people who have these issues and it all comes from the lack of love in the family. I also know a lot of great people with a beautiful family life but I hate this contrast so much. Like, I'll be talking to a lady in a store and wish I had a mom like that or something. How do you deal with the fact that you have a different reality (life) from others (the happy ones) and just accept it as your destiny.

if you know what I mean, you can write down your thoughts. (but please don't write about the attitude thing, it's a lie/fantasy. You've got what you got)

thanx

I AM THE BEST!
MY RELIGION IS THE GREATEST!
YOUR ALL DUMB MORONIC FOOLS FOR NOT SEEING THE TRUTH!
I AM RIGHT YOU ARE WRONG.

Sadly this is what i see on yahoo answers in this section. Instead of learning about ones faith and accepting that that is what they believe and growing together, we are fighting and telling others they are wrong about what they do and practice. With God it is a relationship that counts, not religion. You can have a relationship with God in any religion, you just need to know which best suits you. I think it's bad that we are so negative to another's beliefs. I am a Christian, Jesus accepts all walks of life and faith's but did not believe it. He knew the right path but still helped others who didn't.

Uhm i have a simple question, that is in my mind. Actually two questions.
One is this: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" 1Tim 2,5
Now why do we need Mary/ to pray for us..if Jesus does it. I think His prayer is more than enough for us.
Second: what is it with patron saints? How did they become patrons, Who gave them the "authority"?
Please don't take this as an offensive question, as it isn't. I just want some answers that's all:).
God bless!

I know that the Bible says that we're sinful from conception. It also says, "Believe and be baptized and you will be saved." That's why we have infant baptism in our church, so we know for sure that the babies are going to heaven. What about babies who don't get baptized? We can't hear untill the second trimester, so we can't hear the gospel untill then. How can a miscarried baby have faith if they can't even hear the gospel?

Quran 2:216 "Fighting is prescribed for you (muslims), and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/002.qmt.html#002.216

Fighting is prescribed in Islam (shock wave goes through Yahoo). However, what about the people who "dislike it". After all, Muslims are human beings, so its not like every single Muslim will want to go on Jihad. Well, sorry, but its "prescribed"!

Why is it prescribed? Aw yes, this is the best part...its prescribed because "Allah knows and you know not!!!"

Ah, I see, good enough. Thanks. Clearly such logic must be from God.

why does Islam only thinks that Islam is the only way to heaven and the only right way? Why can't it allow people to believe what they wish instead of penalizing those who don't obey. Let them live their lives!!

Why is it that in every funeral the priest says that the person is going to heaven to be with the lord? Is it possible that no one sins anymore? I've never heard a priest say that the person is going to hell. Why?

Please note that faith isn't an acceptable answer, as if I claim to have faith in a giant blue smurf named bob, you will claim i'm mistaken.

Also the claim can't be the evidence

"Believe in the bible because the bible says so"

is like saying,

Water is blue, because water is blue
The sun is hot, because the sun is hot
I'm the best, because I say I'm the best
The Earth is round because it is round

Serious question, why is this?

If you can actually answer my question, I'd be more than willing to give you best answer no matter of your beliefs but please answer it.

Was there a turning point that made you not beleive? Or how exactly did you come to be an atheist?

The reason I ask is that I always hear "logic" of why God must exist, but I never hear of why God must not exist. And I'm just curious to hear your viewpoint :-)

What do you do to spice up your romantic life? What do you feel is appropriate being a Christian married couple? We've been married 15 yrs. and need some ideas. I know I'll get smart aleck answers, but also know there are Christians out there who will answer me honestly, so it's worth getting all the bad answers I'll probably get! What types of movies do you allow yourselves to watch, etc. What about alcohol? Thanks in advance for the honest, sincere answers!

I recently came upon a video wherein an Atheist, tired of being awoken on Saturday mornings by local Mormons takes to the streets to see how the shoe feels on the other foot.

http://www.break.com/index/door_to_door_atheists_bother_mormons.html

My question is thus: With so many faiths going door to door nowadays (I've had my doorbell rung by baptists, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and a few others.)

I'm neither Atheist nor Mormon, and I certainly don't appreciate doorbell ringers, but is this really necessary? Why go door to door? For every door that get slammed in your face, do you get closer to heaven? This is sincere, not derrogatory.

Yes, Christians, I know the bible tells you to go out and let people know about Jesus, but that doesn't mean stalking people in their homes. I'm sure the people out there, who WANT to learn about Jesus, will come to you!
