i know (and feel for) a few wonderful people who have these issues and it all comes from the lack of love in the family. I also know a lot of great people with a beautiful family life but I hate this contrast so much. Like, I'll be talking to a lady in a store and wish I had a mom like that or something. How do you deal with the fact that you have a different reality (life) from others (the happy ones) and just accept it as your destiny.

if you know what I mean, you can write down your thoughts. (but please don't write about the attitude thing, it's a lie/fantasy. You've got what you got)

thanx

Isn't it a bummer that you can't choose your parents, your family, your upbringing? You can be molded, influence, hurt, and neglected by the parents who brought you into this world.
But, the choices you make, the friends you choose, the faith you embrace, the steps you take in your education and career, can and will lead you into a path that despite your upbringing can bring joy and fullfillment.

I wonder sometimes about how people who have difficult home lives make life choices that take them into different directions. Your sense of what is "normal" is formed by your upbringing. If you don't look beyond your own "normal" how can you discover other life realities? Maybe it's not a bad thing to peek into other people's homelife and families to shop for new choices.

You're brought up in a culture that emphasizes healthy, happy families. But I believe you choose your own family. A lot of my friends are closer to me than a lot of my blood relatives. Go out and meet new people, and think more about the quantity of relationships than what role the person has in your life.

Well God made us all different and everyone has complcations in their family. If you want that kind of family pray about it. You might already have a great family and not even know or noticed it. We all go through things to make us who we are be proud of who you are and your family. I have felt that way too. Your not by yourself.
