i see so many say they are both the same being. now if they WERE both the same being then God is a skitso, throughout the bible (where jesus' story is mention) he is praying [to himself] and crying [to himself]. jesus cried on the cross:
Mark 15:34
"my God my God why have you forsaken me".

if Jesus is not god then christians are committing idolatry.

so then is god skitso/split person identity? talking to his other self?

Say they ask you to pray for something that you do not personally believe in. Wouldn't this be a good time to ask the Lord to grasp your typing fingers and place them in your lap?

Peace :)

Jesus never doubted that Satan is the ruler of this world. In some miraculous way, Satan once showed Jesus “all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.” Satan then promised Jesus: “All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.” (Matthew 4:8, 9; Luke 4:5, 6). Would that offer have been a temptation to Jesus if Satan was not the ruler of these kingdoms?

Revelation 12:9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth...

John 12:31 Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

1 John 5:19 “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.”

2 Corinthians 4:......"4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers,, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine trough."

My general theory since 1971 has been that the word is literally a virus, and that it has not been recognised as such because it has achieved a state of relatively stable symbiosis with its human host; that is to say, the word virus (the Other Half) has established itself so firmly as an accepted part of the human organism that it can now sneer at gangster viruses like smallpox and turn them in to the Pasteur Institute.

judgement is God's only. Why do you feel it is your duty to critisize and judge women who get abortions as well as their doctors? We all are sinners in the eyes of God. No one is a saint. You are no better than the woman. we all make mistakes, some worse than others. that doesnt make us bad people. the only pefect being was Jesus.

I am a Christian and my faith believes that through Jesus you are forgiven for your sins. I am able to pray to God and ask forgivness and move on. I have always been interested in how someone in the Jewish faith, not believing Jesus was God son is forgiven. I have total respect for the faith and am not on here to pass judgement, it honestly has always made me wonder and I saw a question on here that made me remember this so I thought I would ask. I know about the old testement, and as far as I have been told, it included a sacrifice. If I am wrong I am sorry, I am not knowledgable in this at all. Honestly I really am only looking for those who want to answer me respectfully at this time, there are plenty of other people out there asking question if you want to be rude. Thanks in advace for your info. God bless .

What do inverted pentagrams mean in the Mormon religion? Most people believe that inverted pentagrams are Satanic or used for evil or black magic. Do any of you wear an inverted pentagram on a necklace? If not, why not? It seems to be a holy symbol in mormonism, holy enough to be on the Salt Lake temple instead of a cross.

...or someone who cherry picks the bits that suit them personally to live by, and disregards the bits they don't like or agree with as being metaphorical, allogoricall or some such?

I personally am an atheist, but I am more than happy to dish out the points to a believer who makes a good point. I like a good debate.

Oh and please don't pray for me or say I'll go to hell.

I have a friend, we'll call him Steve. Anyhow Steve is gay but also a christian. Steve does not want to disobey God and therefore does not practice homosexuality, even though he is attracted to men. However Steve has a problem, Steve is lonely. Most of his friends are married and have children and even though Steve would like that for himself, he just doesn't like women and won't partner with another man. What should Steve do? I feel really bad for him but don't know what to tell him.

“I think by now I have made it fairly clear that I am not very happy with the word "hope." I don't believe in people just hoping. We work for what we want. I always say that one has no right to hope without endeavor, so we work to try and bring about the situation that is necessary for the country, and we are confident that we will get to the negotiation table at one time or another. This is the way all such situations pan out— even with the most truculent dictator.

As in Romans 1: 26(ish) that all:
unrighteous, fornicating, wicked, theiving, malicious; envious, deceitful, God-hating, despiteful, proud or boastful people deserve death?
Oh, and those who are disobedient to parents...

If you do not believe this to be correct, then how can you say that the Genesis creation stories are definitely correct? Or does Jesus have to actually contradict the OT for it to be thrown aside? Many Christians say that the moral parts of the OT should be maintained (such as condemning homosexuals) but not the small mitzvot (e.g. don't eat shellfish/pork.) However, the Genesis story is not a moral thing... Not the details at any rate. You can believe that God created the world and loved it (the moral part) without believing the 6days stuff.

or is it warm enough for the sheep other animals to be all hearded and stuff in that region of the world during December? im not versed on geography so i dont know if that would prove if Jesus was or wasnt born in Dec. you know? and plus i believe that the bible is not meant to be taken literally, and all that. so it doesnt matter to me if he was born in Dec or not, or if man decided it was Dec, or whatever-you know? i dont need to wrap my brain around the specifics as long as i know that it is true. im just wondering...
