Indeed. Many churches still focus on believe, when the overall objective of the Bible is not believe (even devils "believe": James 2:19), but rather "know" the truth is what makes you free of believe the lies, and also free of the hypocrisy and paritality.
Many churches preach you too can have partiality from an impartial God (there is no respect of persons with God). What can we say about ppl who law impute sin and death for the hell ot it but "forgive them", and notably because they "know not". Sadly ignorance is rampant in the churches, perhaps more than in the secular world they condemn (as 'believers' of lies)
False Christs shall arise, and many false prophets, obviously make for false Christians, who alienate rather than reconcile. Priests and pastors people rely on for truth more often tell them lies. Worse yet, many are focused on warfare rather than peace.
True Christ-ianity is based on Christ: the end of the law (Romans 10:4); the Saviour of the world (John 4:42); our "peace" who abolished the law[enmity] (Ephesians 2). True Christianity does not law impute sin to anyone, since law imputed sin has a death sting: 1Corinthians 15:56; James 1:15.
Not to mention the whole issue of sacrifice is what God will NOT have, and the not part of God's immutable will is not then, not now, not ever (Ps 40:6; Ps 51:16; Hos 6:6; Mt 9:13; Mt 12:7; Heb 10).
And what God our Saviour will have is two things:
- all men saved(graced) ... AND
- all men aware what they're saved from: law.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

You can't stop it. The only person you have control over is yourself. Be a good witness for your God and live your life always being true to your word. Let your yes be a yes and your no be an no and soon you'll be respected and a good witness.
Avoid pointing out other's faults, remembering the person Jesus pointed out in the temple. Showing them off as a bad example only brings you down. It's gosip.
These are the things that show to me a person's true colors. I'm not a Christian, but I've still read the Bible a number of times. Jesus spoke wisdom and truth. Follow his words and you'll do the same.

The pastor of the church I go to says this.......Don't go pointing a finger at someone who is doing wrong.......hold your other fingers with it, palm up and ask them if they can use some help!!! I don't care what religion you are, Christian or otherwise, people aren't perfect. Even the most devout Christian is going to make mistakes, say things that they shouldn't, and do things they shouldn't. That's why we are supposed to repent daily. Christians are only human too. So many people expect Christians to live the most perfect lives and never make a mistake. Yes, there are ppl out there who profess Christianity and never make the attempt to live it. That's why there is such controversy about it. It is not up to us to judge others. The only thing I can tell you to do is to pray for these ppl who are acting like this. You can't change people, they have to be willing to change themselves.

May I ask this?
When you ask how you can stop this what do you mean, Do you mean stop yourself from acting like this or do you mean, to stop others from acting like that?
What you are talking about is people being "Hypocrites" and to tell you the truth, No One can stop others from being like that, people, not all people but a lot of people do not realize that they are being hypocrites, then there are those who know that are but, hey they are the ones too busy trying to run other people lives instead of their own.
Example; I have this Auntie who has a husband who is a big time sinner, he cheats on her, he smokes & drink but when she sees you with a cirgarette she is preaching to you how sinful you are being because you smoke, drink, curse, etc.....
But do you think she tells her husband these things? Of course not, she acts like it does not exisit in her life or in her house, do you think that this is a new thing? no never that, it's been like that for ever, and it will continue way after us.
See, the thing is to not worry about the next person, in this manner, as long as your house is in order, you can not fix everyone's elses, they must do that on their own, and in order for that to happen they must admit that there is a problem first and how many so called church going women do you know who will openly admit such a thing? I could continue down this line but, I will stop here, just remember the first here without sin may cast the first stone...........Just be true to yourself, means you are being true to your God..............I hopes this helps...................

They say they are Christians because deep inside they wish they were or they were brought up with that belief system but it doesn't mean they have a true relationship with God it's like me I became Christian 13 years ago but before that I was Catholic and I use to say oh I'm Catholic I went to church on sundays but if you would ask me why do Catholics do this or that I wouldn't be able to tell you I just said I was Catholic cus that's all I knew!!
Things that we do so often tend to become habbits and sometimes going to church and playing miss little christian on sundays it's just a routine but it does not come from their hearts.
They need a real relationship with God!!!

They are not Christians if they are partying and drinking. If they are doing anything that misrepresents the character of Christ or God then they are not Christians.
This is one of the main reasons people decide against Christianity.
A person cannot make his or herself a Christian by human effort.
A conversion to God is experienced when the individual no longer resists the impressions upon the conscience that God makes. An acknowledgement of one's selfishness and a sorrow for one's sinfulness is part of the experience. Consideration of the love God as revealed in Christ leads to repentance.
A sorrow for sin and a turning away from it with God's help is genuine repentance. As a part of this experience, God imparts new desires, new motives and new purposes into the persons thoughts and feelings. This is what it means to become a Christian. This is the beginning of the Christian life. Not perfection but on the pathway towards it; moral excellence in preparation for heaven.
No person who has had this experience will purposely and without sorrow, continue choosing to do anything that prevents a clear picture of the character of Christ from being revealed in his or her conduct or behavior.
You cannot stop them but they can stop themselves with God's help if they want to. The best thing for you to do is to be a consistent example of true Christianity and don't allow them to influence you to dishonor your Creator.
Do good to them and pray for them but don't endorse or encourage by your presence, words, deeds or silence their misrepresentation of God.
Show N Tell

Sadly-you can stop it. You are responsible for you. Once your life is right with God-He will use you as a witness-but beware because they will probably not hang with you after that cause as John says darkness can't stand the light. They live like this because they believe in the "once saved always saved" lie. That as soon as they ask God into their heart-they're set. Not realizing that it's a lifestyle-living like Christ- not acting like it a couple days of the week. Sadly this hypocrisy stains all of us who are Christians- but concentrate on your walk and ask God to use you as a witness-but to guard you against judgementalism (made that word up).

We are human, although that excuse can't be used all the time. If you're a true Christian, you should know better than live that sort of life. Maybe some have been mislead. Maybe some choose to create their own god to let them do what they want. it all comes down to judgment day. Where will you be and what will you be doing when that day comes? I wouldn't want to be intoxicated, for sure!
I just pray for those people and hope they see the light.
Thanks for the observation.

There is no way to stop anything. The population of humans has been a primary concern for a little while now, and the importance of religion has decreased drastically over such and such period of time. Even if you were to stop it in your home town, you still have another several billion people to slap on the wrist.

They certainly are acting just like Christians, with the holier than thou attitude, yet the first ones to do something immoral. I'm an athiest and have noticed this behavior in 'religious types' since I used to teach Sunday school back when I was in high school. How many Preists and Evangalists do we have to hear about, I think the more religious people are they more they are trying to cover up their REAL selves.... Peace out !
