Please note that faith isn't an acceptable answer, as if I claim to have faith in a giant blue smurf named bob, you will claim i'm mistaken.

Also the claim can't be the evidence

"Believe in the bible because the bible says so"

is like saying,

Water is blue, because water is blue
The sun is hot, because the sun is hot
I'm the best, because I say I'm the best
The Earth is round because it is round

Serious question, why is this?

If you can actually answer my question, I'd be more than willing to give you best answer no matter of your beliefs but please answer it.

So they can fill in the gap in their mind that questions the purpose of life and existance. Whether or not the bible is truth, people just feel good believing something rather than nothing... thus the gap is filled and they can sleep better at night, regardless of whether what they believe is right or wrong.

A great question in my opinion. I'm a christain and a very involved one at that. At one point in time I completely gave up, I'm a person who needs to touchit to be able to belife it. My spiritual revelation came from science actualy! I was reading an artical in a science mag and there it said in black and white, that after breaking down atoms and there stuff and there stuff, scientists found sound, a humm of sorts, saim one in every thing... Meaning when you break every thing down its nothing more than a sound wave! God said in the bible, he wispered in the dark and brought forth the light.

The Lord said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by. "Then a great and powerfull wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle wisper.
-1 kings 19:11-12

Thats just an example, theres tons of verses in the bible that tell about God commanding, and telling, and he sayd things like,
"If you have faith as a mustard seed you will tell those mountains to move from here to there..." and "God gave man the command over every living beast..." All done with sound! Its no wonder muic is such a key roll inour world. but thats it Thats why I trust the bible, that and theres no evidence agenst it, and I'v herd alot of things that support it.

And I'v pretty much have had the time of my life living for christ, serving people at shepard's tables, and singing. No profanity... Once you get into it and accept it and actualy strive for it, God dose really bless. And thats allllll why, sorry if its a little to long, I have a problem with rambling, me and my 16yo self, lol. We'll, I liked the question hope you look into what iv said. Bye :D

If the Bible is foolishness like so many suggest then your question is extremely important. Why do so many millions of people over thousands of years believe this "foolishness"? Maybe there is more to it than meets your eye. Maybe millions of people have found something worth living for, maybe they have had their lives revolutionized, maybe they have been freed from guilt and sin, maybe they have been given an eternal hope, maybe they have seen miraculous things happen, maybe they have seen the world changed for good. It seems to me if it was foolishness like many suggest it would have died out about 5 years after Christ died. So you tell me why is it still here, and it looks like it is going to be around for a long time yet. If fact Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away but My Word will never pass away."

Because we have studied the entirity of the Bible, and know it is true. and not just blind faith as you assume. God fortells much that will happen and it does. still going on today. totally fortells the way the world will be today, just before Jesus comes. and its so right on. watch the world news and its the Bible prophecy. right down to the degradation of ppl, more earthquakes, all of it. also, many artifacts have been found thru the years that support what the Bible says, lost cities, tribes, etc. and when you have God that tells you things, and you watch it happen before your eyes, you know it is truth. no coincidence that big gonna happen, let alone daily. that would require blind faith.
If you watch a terminal person suddenly healed, thats not blidn faith. even when the docs gave up all hope. There is so much. ppl look and see what they think are contradictions in the Bible. No, there are none. You just need deeper understanding. The Bible is like a giant puzzle, where little pieces of info fit together and create a big picture. One day the puzzle becomes clear, and then God shows you another layer of scripture, and you get to build another whole puzzle. there are four layers of scripture, even the jews know that. None of us have all the answers , we are growing and learning all the time, but with enough pieces to even one puzzle, you see truth right in front of you and man there is no denying, no matter who youare. BUt, one must study to find out, and not just simply reject the truth. price to pay for that is hell, and I wouldnt wish that on anyone. But remember God is so quick to forgive. Just ask, stop sining, and ask Jesus to be your saviour. easy, huh? not believing is whats hard. Even just the healing of one person, how do athiests expalin that. example, science now says homosexuality is normal, but ppl have been healed of that mental condition. If only one was healed, that it cant be being born that way. so much proof. we Christians wonder why you all cant just see it as clearly as we do. BUt, we also know the devil will muddle it up for you to confuse you and keep you where you are. God loves us just like we are, but loves us too much to want us to stay there. He wants to imporove our lives and make them better. Knowledge is power, if it is knowledge of God and His word. Press on

Good question:)
Yet simple answer: It's true:).

Every day I read more and more from it. And by following the suggestions, laws, commandments......and just having faith in the one true God...and Jesus Christ....my life get's better every day.
I mean God actually answers my questions, and helps me in solving life's problems, and helps me go the right way.
+ I have seen and experienced many wonders.
+ the Bible has so many deep truths about life even if we take out the "religious" parts form it.
+ no man could write such wisdom by himself. No man is this wise.
I think these are enough for one to believe in the Bible. I didn't believe neither it.... till I experienced it..

God bless!

A source of external evidence comes from archaeology. Middle Eastern archaeological investigations have proven the Bible to be true and unerringly accurate in its historical descriptions. Nelson Glueck, a renowned Jewish archaeologist, states, "No archaeological discovery has ever controverted a biblical reference.''

There are many more external evidences for the Bible, for instance, evidence from prophecy. The Bible contains hundreds of prophecies which have come to pass. No book in history has ever come close to the Bible when it comes to fulfillment of prophecy.

Because what I read in God's word lines up with what I see in God's world.
