Actually...the oldest known Mosque in the Muslim world is in Mecca...which was first a temple to pagan idols long before Islam declaired it to be their Mosque...see Kabba for details...the Kabba in Mecca has an old meterorite in its walls that Muslims walks around and kiss...they say the blackened stone is suppose to be black from 'soaking' up all the sin...lol? Kinda makes one wonder just why so many people would walk around and around an old ancient pagan temple with a black meterorite in it anyway.

no i didn't know that! i know that the BEST church in Spain was once a Muslim Mosque that was seized after the inquisition and turned into a Church and there are still verses of the Quran carved on it's ceiling till this day.

Let me tell you something ..When hazrat Omer (muslim caliph) came to Isreal and there he wanted to see the whole places.he was teken to church... it was prayer time....someone asked him to offer prayer there in the church but he refused and he offered prayer outside the church saying that ' once i offered prayers in the church muslims will be misguided and will try to make a mosques on that place and this church belongs to christains "

this clearly shows that islam never favourd making mosques on place of church...it allows all the religious freedom to non-muslims wht is their rights and tells us to respect them and their religion.
