Read into it what you wish, I left it vague on purpose.

Elaborate if you will. Thanks.

Genesis 22:2
Then God said, "Take your son, your ONLY son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about."

again in Genesis 22:12
"Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your ONLY son."

Did God make a mistake?? Did God not know that Abraham had two sons: Ishmael and Isaac? obciously God doesn't make mistakes.
Isaac was 14 years younger than Ishmael. When Abraham took his son to be sacrificed, that son appears to have been about 13. God several times refers to Abraham's son as his "only son." God says "Take now your son, your only son, Isaac." (Genesis 22:2). God says, "You have not withheld your son, your only son, from me." (Genesis 22:12).

Have you thought about your day?

Have you imagined what it might be?

With every cell of your being, are you consciously creating? Or are you just reacting?

If you are a co-creator with the divine, are you aware? With each step forward, are you smiling or cursing this glorious life that you have?

I'm about to have my morning shower. From there I will be heading out to teach. Singing. I have some knowledge of what my day will be but along with that, I also know that I can impact my day, my reality, in either a positive or negative way.

I intend to create; to make magic today.

You? What is your intention? What do you plan to co-create with the divine?

Serious answers only please. Do not answer if you do not answer hypothetical questions or if you're answer is going to something like "I know God exists" or "It's obvious that God doesn't exist".

As for "why?", an example answer would be something like "because then I'd have to follow God's law" or "because I'd feel that life was meaningless".

Thanks for your input,
Derek

I had a professor once who wore this beautiful pendant; I finally asked her what its significance is, and she said it's Arabic & it means 'in the name of God the most merciful, most compassionate'. She didn't know the Arabic version because she is a non-practicing Muslim (she said she wears it for good luck). But the sentiment is sooo beautiful that I looked for the Arabic translation online and found 'Besm allah al-raman al-rahim' and various spellings of the same translation. What is the correct spelling of this phrase? I have seen only a few besmallah pendants online--when they call it a besmallah pendant, is it representing the entirety of 'besmallah el-raman el rahim' or is it the Arabic for 'besm allah'? I can't seem to find a variety of these pendants to choose from-- can you help me find some decent sites that provide a wider selection? THANK YOU!!

People always blame war & socially out cast others purly coz of religion.
I have been told that if i dont have a religion then i cant justify living & it would be hard for me to be happy because i would have nothing good to look forward to in life because i am not guided by any religious books.

There has always been stories in the news about every religion & the bad things that each have produced but there is one religion which i have not actualy seen which stirs up so much hate.

it is satanism
In the bible Satan was the 1 putting bad thoughts into peoples minds?
But people who start war & do bad things are not Satan worshipers but instead Christians & other religions so who is2 say this is the wrong path to take?
I have never heard anything about this religion starting wars,
it would guide me through life by providing me with a strong beliefe of how to obtain a fulfilling life by its books
& it would provide me with something to pray to.What do you think should i convert?

Jesus, the basis of Christianity, was supposed to have sacrificed his life.

Did you ever hear of a hero who sacrificed a life and was alive afterwards?

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Can Gods die?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and walked on Sunday, was he really dead and gone?

Besides Saturday what did Jesus sacrifice?

For every story of a "loving God" having miraculously saved some poor soul I can probably find ten true stories of OUTRIGHT innocent humans, men, women and children suffering a terrible injustice, these horrors(physical and not) sometimes beyond belief. I can accept anyone's belief in some divine force...but don't call it "loving".
"Faith" should not turn someone into a stupid human.
