For every story of a "loving God" having miraculously saved some poor soul I can prabably find ten true stories of OUTRIGHT innocent humans, men, women and children suffering a terrible injustice, these horrors(physical and not) sometimes beyond belief. I can accept anyone's belief in some divine force...but don't call it "loving".
"Faith" should not turn someone into a stupid human.

Hi Uncle Thesis, I'm a lazy bastard so I'll let the internet do the work for me. YOU go to ten web sites that give local news about 10 big cities and you'll have your answer. But if that's asking too much then type into google: Rawanda, Massacre... you'll get about 400,000 stories....you silly boy.

Understanding the loving nature of God is difficult when you chose to blame everything negative that happens on God.

God is not responsible for these things, we are.

Blaming it all on God is convenient but it is just using God for a scapegoat, it is not truth.

Don't misunderstand I do understand the thought process that leads to these feelings that God is not loving. For years I ascribed to them, and felt the same way.

Once I figured out that it was just nonsense that I had been thinking I got over it.

Now I appreciate the love that comes from the source even if I don't always like what I make from it.

I agree with you that a loving God who tortures is a contradiction in terms. After careful study, I have found that the creator is indeed a loving God. Therefore, there must be a compelling reason for his waiting to intervene to stop such wickedness and suffering.

Isn't it true that loving parents will allow their child to undergo a painful operation to remedy an illness or disease of some kind? It's painful for the child. And it is painful for the parents. But afterwards, the child is benefited.

It is similar with the true God. It is painful for Him to see his human children suffer so much but there is a compelling reason for him to refrain from intervening at the "moment." It is just that most people have not been taught that compelling reason. But when it is over, oh how benefitted mankind will be!

One might ask why we should not expect god to be at least as reasonable and compassionate as the average person? Take a simple scenario that was given to me on a yahoo group: You are in the kitchen. You see a toddler headed towards a stove where a pot of oil bubbles away furiously. He reaches up... do you sit there and watch him do grievous harm to himself when he pulls it down, thinking pain, fear, scarring or death are just rewards for wanting to know? Or do you get up and pull him to safety? This is a good one. Where’s god;s warning when people are nearing unknown but certain danger? Here are my ideas: First, it is possible that the value system that is placed on this equation is meaningless in relation to some HIGHER PURPOSE? Perhaps the history of death and pain and suffering is a spit in the pan compared to what the ultimate goal is? Does a mother focus on the pain of child birth when she first holds her infant in her arms? Or is she elated with the result such that the pain becomes meaningless? Chaos, pain and suffering are inherent propensities in this system, but in the evolution of biology toward man they were certainly necessary components of the equation. Unlike the animal, whose pain is a conditioned response mechanism, man (now conscious) has an understanding of these things. He understands pain, suffering, mortality. Now he must suffer the consequences of that knowledge. But given the loftier goal of creating new personalities, perhaps the awareness of the chaotic nature of our environment and the pain and suffering and death we know in our conscious states is well worth attainment of another goal? In other words, maybe the means justify the end. Quite possibly not even the intervention by God would change the final outcomes. Secondly, this scenario assumes god can intervene. I believe god is just another word for perfection or morality and that saying that god could grab the infant or give him some warning is the same as saying your morality could grab the infant and save him. You (being moral or godly) want to save him because you have god (morality) within you.

This is not the truth of history. You have to look at God's love
in the star system maxim service. For one thing at 1 million
stars the entire elementary charts changes, and there is every
suggestion that there are regions of space in star wars. Where
I believe the torture is very real in the realm of war damages. A
planet science would show that the recent histories of our
system must prevent the exceptionally mutant, radical, fixated
killers of these borderline areas from growing their war worship
in our systems because they are lost far into the past. This
condoning of their actions is the mass destruction theory and
is really fixed in their minds in primitive actions. Imagine if you
could just shout at the television and force people to do your
revengeful actions. These are the minds of people overly and
dramatically sickened , hostile against civilizations.

On what foundation do you come back to the tip that God is in charge for the undesirable injustice you defined. each and every issue of this worldwide arises from the autumn and evil of guy. God has to allow the outcomes that stick to from guy's prefer to be autonomous of God to run its direction for the appointed time. God would not prefer those issues to take place and has to withhold doing something as a manner to be real to His can provide and concepts. God is likewise a God of justice to boot love. meanwhile God has chosen and empowered His human beings, the Christians, to assist conquer the evil and sufferings of the worldwide on His behalf. God as a Spirit works via His human beings to intervene in the worldwide as His physique. So God isn't doing no longer something. The extra Christians there are the extra help is obtainable whilst God can use them.

I'm gathering when you speak of God you are speaking of God in the terms of the teachings of the Bible? If so, then you realise there is Free Will involved and if that is the case then you realise that humans create the torture, the heartache etc.. there is a choice at the end of the day and that choice is made by people. Why give people free will and override it? it defeats the purpose of learning and experiencing what our souls desire and that is to learn and experience.

They would not have been done that way if they had not disobeyed God. They knew exactly what was going to happen if they did not follow the word of God. So in essence, they themselves condmned their own people because inspite of the warnings given to them by God, they ignorred His power and His word and went againt God and was punnished for that very disobedience. God keeps His word! Disobedience has its price. Are YOU wiling to pay that same price for your disobeying God.? IF you are, don't blame God, but take on the sole responsibility of that your own self!

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
