Analysis:
First, we must state that the Quran does recognize the concept of love. According to Islam, all followers must love Allah.
Next, to figure out what instruction the Quran has, regarding love for people, we are left to draw inferences, because the Quran itself never tells followers to love anyone. [Note: Watch if anyone posts a specific Quran reference. Its just not there. Search yourself].
Inference 1: The Quran is supposed to be complete manual on how Allah wants us all to live, therefore, the fact that Allah leaves out any instruction to love others shows that he doesnt want us to live a lifestyle where we are loving other humans.
Inference 2: The opposite of love is hate, and the Quran does claim that hatred of people, simply for present unbelief, is an "excellent" conduct in the eyes of Allah (60:4). Since Allah does see fit to endorse hatred as an "excellent" behavior, and ignores love, we are again left to conclude that loving humans is against Allah's will.
