I use to be afraid to die myself. But becoming a Christian and relizing what is waiting for me in heaven makes me realize that maybe life on earth is death and death is new life.
I guess if you look at it like graduating from College
All of the Sudden life hits you and is scary, but once you get in the world witha good job, a loving family, great paycheck you realize that life is pretty good.
So life is like Collage, dying and going to heaven (once youreceved Christ) will be the life you have always wanted on earth but without all the problems and trials we have now.
I am not saying you should wish for death. I am saying that dying is just the beginning and there is no fear.
Your fear is because you don't live in Jesus and without Jesus I would be afraid of death to becasue without him there is no life.

Jesus (when he was on this earth) told the little girl's parents right before he resurrected her that "she is only asleep" which gives us hope that we can and will be resurrected. And Ecclesiastes 9:5 states that the dead are conscious of nothing. There is no torment at all. At john 5:28,29 it is said that the dead will be raised again and psalm the 37th chapter says that the meek will inherit the earth just as revelation 21:3-5 gives all of us a good hope. I hope you look at your bible with this little info. that I gave you. Also check out; the website with your bible to www.watchtower.org or email me with any other questions

I am too. You might have clinical depression. That brought on a strong sense of impending doom. I take meds for that, and although I'm still scared to die, I don't dwell on it.
I asked my preacher once (I do believe in life after death) why I was so afraid. He said, "God has promised to be with us during the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23)...so if you are going through periods of the fear of dying, you must not really be dying, or God lied."
He doesn't lie.

Jesus taught about two very REAL afterlife possibilities. One is Heaven and the other is hell. When He died on the cross, He paid for your sins personally, (and mine too). He suffered bled and died, then He rose again, since He was God in the flesh, and sinless, death had no power over Him. He ascended into Heaven where He waits for you to ask His forgiveness of your sins and to repent;(turn away) from your sins. He promises eternal life, and will completely CHANGE your life! Believe me, you'll NEVER regret it...I never have! There's nothing to be scared about once you KNOW where you're going when you die! God Bless you!

if you dont believe in an afterlife are you just afraid of the pain of death? what are you afraid of? it may not hurt when you die, you might die in your sleep (my grandma did) then again you may have a long painful illness. Are you afraid when you are dead there will be nothing?
Nobody knows what it's like, just that we all have to die.

It's instinct to fear death, we all want to survive as long as possible. What exactly do you fear? the pain of the actual moment of death? Not experiencing anything new anymore? Think about that question and you may find your fears to be groundless.
To put it simply, death is inevitable and to fear it is a waste of time. Tibetan buddhism teaches that you must accept death in order to have peace in your life. It does you no good to fear the inevitable.

If you believe in nothing, then what's there to fear? Obviously, your conscience is getting the better of you and you know that there is a God deep down in your heart.
"God has put eternity into the hearts of men."
You fear death because you know there is an eternity.
