No human being who has ever lived - not Calligula, not Pol Pot, not Stalin, not Idi Amin, not Hitler - has provided even a shadowy resemblance to the AntiChrist. The AntIchrist will be evil beyond any measure the earth has ever known. Therefore it is ridiculous to try to cast ordinary human beings, with their ordinary faults and failings, in that role.

The Antichrist will be able to get the Jews and Muslims to have a peace treaty. He will convince the world at large to worship him. He will be able to get things done politically that no politician has ever done.

I don't think that will be anybody like Falwell, Bush, Kerry, Clinton (Mr or Mrs), .... It won't be a pope, it won't be a Billy Graham type, nor Osama Bin Laden.

The Antichrist will be evil, but not as so many people presume. Just like a con man, he will "win" the world over. IF he's here now, he has not yet made himself very public. And he certainly hasn't offended people on any side of an issue by taking a stance on important things.

The antichrist is not one person, but is anyone who denies Christ Jesus. 1 John 2:18 confirms this:--" Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye heard that antichrist cometh, even now have there arisen many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour." These antichrists are in every country.
Atheists, deists or agnostics, are antichrists. Any political or religious organization who prefers human rulership rather than God's heavenly government and it's rulership is an antichrist. Since the destiny of all who comprise the antichrist is destruction at Armageddon, it follows that all who would escape that end must separate themselves from any antichrist.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ

is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

If anyone should say that Jesus is not our savior, and that He did not die on the cross for our sins, they are an antichrist.

People have been trying to pin point this question since I can remember. Some thought it was Henry Kissenger, some thought it was Ronald Reagan (each letter in hiis s first, middle, and last name had six letters) and some have claimed it to be Gorbachev (that mark on his forehead was believed to be the mark of the beast). I even thouht it could have been Yassar Arafat ("could" not "was") before he passed away.

The Bible makes it clear that he will be a man of peace, and will "appear" to be a friend of Israel. He will have a charasmatic (not in the "speaking in tongues" sense) appeal that will lure many. Jesus warned of the signs of when this will happen, and Paul also does in 2 Thessolians as well. But, Paul also kept it in its proper perspective in this episitle, by telling the people to work for a living, and to live a quiet life, not being busybodies (Many then, as now, used end time Bible prophecy as a means of escaping from the real world).

Jesus warned of the signs of when the time will come, as well as the characteristics of the one scripture refers to as, "The Man of Lawlessness". We need to be on guard, because the day is fast approaching! But, I have seen many over my 25 years of being a Christian make false predictions on this matter, causing many to be disappointed and fall away. The best thing I can tell you is to be aware of the times, but don't be an escapist! I've seen many who were come away disappointed, and want nothing more with either the things of God, or the church anymore because of this!

People who worship Satan! What makes you think there is just one Antichrist? The world is in a state of chaos because there are hundreds and possibly thousands of them. Some people will do anything for power and money.... some people are a bunch of fools... these people need to remember that the greatest reward for following Satan will be hell itself.

From wikipedia.com:
The English word Antichrist is taken from the Greek αντίχριστος antíkhristos, which literally means "instead of Christ". In the Bible, the term itself appears only in 1 John and 2 John.

From: http://www.bookofconcord.org/treatise.html
39] Now, it is manifest that the Roman pontiffs, with their adherents, defend [and practice] godless doctrines and godless services. And the marks [all the vices] of Antichrist plainly agree with the kingdom of the Pope and his adherents. For Paul, in describing Antichrist to the Thessalonians, calls him 2 Thess. 2, 3: an adversary of Christ, who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God. He speaks therefore of one ruling in the Church, not of heathen kings, and he calls this one the adversary of Christ, because he will devise doctrine conflicting with the Gospel, and will assume to himself divine authority.

41] This being the case, all Christians ought to beware of becoming partakers of the godless doctrine, blasphemies, and unjust cruelty of the Pope. On this account they ought to desert and execrate the Pope with his adherents as the kingdom of Antichrist; just as Christ has commanded, Matt. 7, 15: Beware of false prophets. And Paul commands that godless teachers should be avoided and execrated as cursed, Gal. 1, 8; Titus 3, 10. And he says, 2 Cor. 6, 14: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what communion hath light with darkness?

The society or body of those who, having made an apostasy from Christ to Antichrist, and the Antichristian state which in the Scriptures is called the whore of Babylon, we hold to be the apostate church of Rome. The head of this Antichristian body and catholic apostate we hold to be the Pope of Rome; and consequently that the Pope is that grand Antichrist whom the holy Ghost in the Scriptures hath described unto us; and that he is called the Antichrist, not only because he is the head of the Antichristian body, but also because he being in profession the vicar of Christ, is in deed Æmulus Christi, that is, an enemy opposed unto Christ, in emulation of like honor, as if we should say, a counter-Christ, as the word Antichrist doth also signify.

The Anti-Christ is everywhere. Anywhere there is crime, violence, hatred, war, where governments carry out merciless missions. The Anti-Christ held Nelson Mandela for years, he is in Cuba, he is North Korea, he was in Rwanda, he jumped into Jeffery Dahmer's body. Get the picture.

My ex-husband... because he looked and acted normal... and hid his real identity... until after he'd already trapped me... and then his true personalitiy surfaced... and he was the most evil and twisted person I'd ever known... but could be so charming and charismatic to those in power that they'd never suspect...

Yes... definitely my ex-husband.
