I asked a question in this section last night about childhood influences on current beliefs, and some of the answerers seemed very certain of both their faith and its origin. So my question now is how? What is your personal proof that your beliefs are valid? I'm not out to criticize or judge, I just want to understand. Thanks.

I attend one of the few spirit filled churches in my area that operates in the gifts of the spirit. The other churches in the area believe that the gifts died out with the apostles. I operate in the gifts myself, but was wondering how many of you do or do not and what denomination are you if any? If you do not believe that the gifts are for us please tell me why you think this.

This is so unfair that it has to be made by some male who thinks he is worth that of two Women.......And Muslims you cant deny what is true (the males abuse Womens rights) Women need to stand up and fight .

See For YourSelf>>
God enjoins you about your children that a boy’s share is equal to that of two girls’. And, if there are only girls among the children and they are more than two, then they shall receive two-thirds of the inheritance, and, if there is only one girl, then her share is half. And if the deceased has children, then the parents shall inherit a sixth each, and if he has no children and only the parents are his heirs, then his mother shall receive a third, and if he has brothers and sisters, then the mother’s share is the same one-sixth after the payment of any legacies he may have bequeathed and after discharging any debts he may have left behind. „

menstruating is a natural occurrence in the body that God has given you, why is it dirty? I don't understand God making women menstruate then saying you're dirty don't pray to me, don't make sacrifices for me...

can anyone explain?

Also >>>>
bleeding does not break wudu in all the four schools. and even if you follow the fatwa that it does, if a person has a problem where his wudu breaks constantly he is regarded as a special case and he can make wudu and pray regardless of the problem breaking his wudu. this could be incontinence, constant bleeding etc. . this also applies to women btw who have such a problem. but menstruation is a different situation with a specific ruling applied to it.
SO WHAT BUSNESS IS IT OF ANYONE WHEN SHE IS MENSTERATING .......THAT IS NOT ANYONES BUSSNESS!

They are talking on the news about the guy in Kansas City who has been handing out money for years, and he talked about the one guy who gave to him at the worst time of his life.

Can you think of one time someone did something for you for no other reason than to help and what did they do? Did you pay it forward?

It is in fact genetic to be a sociopath (meaning total lack of empathy), and many murderers have been shown to be impossible to have stopped themselves from murdering because the impulse control portion of their brain doesn't work.

How can god punish someone who just doesn't "right" because he biologically can't? Wouldn't it have made more sense to send these people to earth with the opportunity to be able to tell right from wrong?

I don't believe that God sends anybody to a place called Hell or that God would punish his/her precious children in that way.

I just watched the DAvinci code and I know some of it is true and some is embellished. I dont think it matters. The point the movie tried to make was that their is a possibility that Jesus was an extroidinary man who lived his life like a man, and was an example to man not to god on how to live your life with god working through you. This is how man can accomplish everything> Does it matter whether he was divine or not. Wasnt his actions divine? What difference does it make if he was god or not? What greater gift could god give us then the reflection of who we can become if we open ourselves to his divinity, then his divinity works through us. Why would the church be threatened by some secret that portrays Jesus as a man. Dosent this action put more of a seperation between man and god. In fact the very ideal contradicts what seems to be gods intentions for man. To me instead of being offeneded by such suggestions, we instead should find hope within ourselves. Just wondering?
