BELIEF. in belief there is a possibility that it might change.u believe someone today n that changes another day due to some event or reason. we believe in god becoz we r still not sure that he exist. a tragedy, unfulfilled wish, loss of a loved one, the belief goes down the drain. belief stems from the mind, from thoughts n r prone to change.
FAITH. faith is rock solid. it does not change with events or circumstances but it gets strengthened. faith comes from experience. u experience god n u know there is a god. now, no matter what happens or ppl say u'll never lose FAITH. becoz faith comes from the heart.
first speculation, then belief, then faith. thats how we progress to god. what we need is rock solid unshakable faith. for that we need experience.

I know that God exists, all of creation testifies to His glory.I have relationship with Christ Jesus and it is awesome! Can't be explained,just experienced. Just like some miracles that still occur today without any scientific reasoning.Studies show people with faith heal faster.
I generally find that people who don't believe in a God who exists, are really searching for answers to prove He does exists. Why else would they be in R&S seeking answers to questions they think, they have already figured out.
PS I don't need to believe in God, I choose to believe what I know in my heart & soul is truth. I hope the answers you seek will be opened to your heart.

The reason we believe in God is that He exist. By the way, how can believe in something when it didn`t exist.
It is very hard for you to ask, twisted mind and tongue...but I know you believe in your heart, but you just show to your friends that you don`t believe in Him?
In asking alone, interested in the subject matter, linger in this section of yahoo in this particular subcategory, reading all answers, sifting, chewing all answers, and trying to construct phrases and conversation that it would show your unbelief.....
is just a sign that you are considering His being to be very powerful, convincing, and quite believable...whose influence in your being you quite want to know where it comes from...
why not just accept His existence that it can do something good changes in your lifetime ???

Of course you would. You would know he exists so your belief in him would become a fact. You would be convinced that he exists.
Just knowing he exists does not however mean you understand him and what his intentions are. You still need to believe what the Bible says and what it means.

There is the Almighty God, and I not only believe in Him, I live according to His word, the best I can and repent of my sins daily. For I fall short of His glory. But through His word in the scriptures, I am able to draw strength from Him, and change the parts of me that cause me to commit those sins that I am repenting of.
There will always be something that I do that is not rightous in the eyes of God, but I slowly make the necessary changes in myself that draws me closer to becoming the kind of person Jesus wants me to be in Him. Praise the Lord!!

If there was still god, I will definetly pray. The reason why people believe in god (which he doesn't exist) is because they need hope.

God is the light and living within us- there IS a God, but one must find that answer for himself-
God exists in my llife, and as the bible says, he cannot permit us to see him but what is unseen is the truth and what is seen is temporary.

Depends on the nature of the god. Is he one of those "Baby, if you see other people, I'm going to have to hurt you real bad. Don't make me hurt you baby" stalker-husband kind of gods, then yes.
