Let me take you further back than evolution to a theory that has been causing ripples in the scientific community.

Panspermia is the name for the theory that the first organisms came to be on earth by travelling the great distance in a meteorite. Micro-organisms can live in the most extreme conditions on earth and some scientists are doing research to prove that they can indeed survive the harsh conditions in space and the impact on earth.

What follows is the idea of evolution, these organisms from outer space divide, mutate and change along different paths, developing different survival mechanisms and so after millions of years we see the various processes in evolution as the different species. Including humans.

Personally, I think the religious and scientific community are at odds with eachother whilst being more than a little similar. Religion is simply an undiscovered or unexplained science, and science is phenomena which may well be more involved than we realize.

Well we will never know for sure, and i know some people are going to say Adam and Eve, others will say evolution, i think its both, I think at the time someone sat down to write a book which was later called the bible, or something much earlier had no idea what he was dealing with, or what had been going on, some how, possible it came from God he had write about how life began, so when he was told about two micro organisms forming to make life, he may of thought it was easier to say two people called Adam and Eve .
Just an idea, but no one can prove it wrong, just as no one can prove that God does, or does not exist, no matter how much evidence people say there is, there is still no proof

Scientists say our closet relatives are Chimpanzees, because our genetic material is similar.

Scientists say we evolved from apes, which evolved from some primordial unicellular organism way back in 4000000bc, or whatever bc it is.

What these scientists fail to see, is that in the quest to find where we originated from, they forget that there are bound to be similarities between some monkey and human beings, but that doesn't mean that we came from them.

Its still the chicken and egg situation- which came first- humans or god?

Is that right or wrong?

This question cannot be resolved by logic, or science. There's this thing called faith and believe- in the unseen and in the unknown.

Can you see love?

No. So how do you know its love?

You don't know- its just there, you can feel it.

Can you touch sadness?

No. So how do you know it's painful?

You don't know- it just is.


So how can anyone want to prove or disprove the other's belief?

Muslims, Christians, Jews believe in a creator.

Atheists believe in evolution.

The key word here is belief.

Daleswife is right. We tend to forget that we humans may be brilliant at technology but we cannot change the basic law: we can neither create nor destroy matter, only change its form. On the other hand, God creates. He created us, the trees and flowers and everything you have ever eaten to sustain life in your body. True, scientologists and some erudite professors have the idea that life came from outer space but every religion on Earth points to a Creator God - they can't all be wrong - and maybe, just maybe, that Creator God has been trying to tell us that we were created by Him wherever humans felt the need for spirituality.
