It seems like people are always asking thinkgs about God as if he was a man, as if he is one of us, with the same thoughts and actions. "Created in his IMAGE", not with a like mind. God, and his rationale is not like ours. So whether you believe, or are just trying to disprove, God, whatever he is, is not like us, right?

I am raised Jewish-so at worst I was an agnostic-didnt know if Jesus was the Messiah or as Isaiah said he would be (chapter 9:6 "Unto us a child is to be born, a son given, and he will be the wonderful counselor, the almighty God, the everlasting father, and the prince of peace." --i didnt know about-

would Jesus be the messiah and as predicted God or even if there was a God -the one that left us just before Jesus came and we heard our last prophet.

Psalm 19 "The heavens declare the glory of God and the word of God reveals who he is."

Jesus says " He that rejecteth my word, hath one that judgeth them the words that I have spokent the same will judge them in the last day." John 12 vs 48

Jesus saith, heaven and earth will pass away but not one of my words will ever pass away.

I tried his salvation it worked Jesus is my savior and best friend-you can say he dont exist but I have an experience-you got a arguement.
"The fool hath said in their heart, there isNoGod.Psalm14

In fact, I think that no good has came exclusively from religion alone.

Humans can be moral and love thy neighbours without religion
Humans can lead purposeful life without religion
Humans can achieve so much more even without the help of an imaginary voice in their head

Wouldn't it be that once someone starts to believe in Jesus as Lord that they've basically converted to Christianity instead of being part of their old religion?

OK, if God existed before anything ("anything" didn't even exist yet), then that would mean that darkness, evil, sin, etc did not exist. If God created good, for example, He would have had to create evil (perhaps indirectly, but it couldn't really be "indirectly", because He created everything, which would include "indirectly").

Without evil, how can you tell if something is good? You have nothing to compare it to.

So, if God "is" love, for example, that would mean that there was already hate. And hate would be something God did not create.

So, wouldn't it make more sense to say that there are two Gods, opposites of each other (like God and Satan (I know Satan is not a god, but just listen)) who always co-existed?

It's impossible to live in a world where everything is love, and know that everything is love, because what are you comparing it to? If you can't compare it to anything, how can you tell what it is?

Don't you think there should be some sort of balance?

I love you all and I dont even know any of you. I take that back. I feel like I do know all of you. You are my brothers and sisters in Christ. Please allow me to share with you these blessed series of events which occured during my transition. Even now, I can't hold back the tears of joy. I'm a grown man, yet I can't stop crying. Why must those with a religious belief insist on quoting the Bible / Quran etc (even listing the paragraphs), when those of us with differing views question the reasons or validity of their beliefs? And ... Why are they unable to present proven scientific quantifyable and repeatable evidence (Q.E.D) to the debate, preferring to refer to a book written in the middle ages as their evidence?

LADIES, if you have ever wondered if God has a divine plan for your vaginas, wonder no more.
Kathern Joyce At The Nation has an amazing expose’ on “Quiverfull mothers.”

“Quiverfull mothers” try to have UPWARDS of six children. They home-school their families, attend fundamentalist churches and follow biblical guidelines of male headship--"Father knows best"--and female submissiveness. They refuse any attempt to regulate pregnancy.”[Ref. at: www.thenation.com/doc/20061127/joyce]

Quiverfull began with the publication of Rick and Jan Hess's 1989 book, A Full Quiver: Family Planning and the Lordship of Christ, which argues that God, as the "Great Physician" and sole "Birth Controller," opens and closes the womb on a case-by-case basis. Women's attempts to control their own bodies--the Lord's temple--are a seizure of divine power.
